Spring Hill Job Still Not Posted

As of this morning the Spring Hill Head Coaching Job is still not posted on Maury County's School website or on TSSAA's website.

I wonder why not?

I do not know the particulars of this situation, but some systems choose to wait till the conclusion of the playoffs. I guess the reason being most good coaches play during this five week period and will not talk to another school while their season is still ongoing. Who knows though.

Coach Herzog would be a great fit in at Spring Hill also that man needs to have his own team. EA Cox's Head Coach Aaron Oskins is young and would have those players running through a brick wall.

 

Coach McKnight is a great coach and he loves his kids I wish the best to him, this season was a down year. He did help a 0-10 make the playoffs for the first time since 98. From what I have seen at EA Cox, Oskins got those boys ready and I bet you that at least 5-8 Freshman should start. Keep your eye on Kelan Blanks

I agree with Coach Oskins, but I think you have to have a teaching certificate to be a Head Coach in High School per TSSAA rules. Not sure whether he has that or not?

I think Coach Oskins is a manager at a Lowes, he is not a teacher. He found out that Cox wasnt gonna have a program and he put in for the job. I guess you are right about the certificate. I just think he would be a great fix former SH Raider and he still does play football for two area Semi-Pro FB teams.

The open position should have been posted at the end of last week. Not sure about the website though. As far as Coach OSKIAN, not "Oskins." That will likely not happen since he does not have a teaching certificate and lack of coaching experience as well at the high school level. And as far as the Banks kid. He is electric from what I hear but I also heard that he won't play football in high school and that he might not even play in Maury County next year anyway. It sound like he might play basketball only. This is what I HEARD and for Spring Hill's sake I hope I'm wrong but you couldn't blame the kid if this is true.

The Head Coach position and teaching position (PE/Life Wellness) at Spring Hill High is now listed at mauryk12.org.

It mentions nothing about this being a temporary position etc.

Hope SHHS gets a good quality head coach.

Doogie thanks for the props, But I dont have a teaching certificate, I love coaching, but the High school level is another Monster. Coach McKnight did a great job up there and I wish the best to him and his family. Spring Hill is going through some tough times. Shoot it started my Senior year when we went 3-7 in 4A from a 9-3 in 3A the year before.

 

I dont know who has put in for the job but I would have to say Richard Herzog is the man. My Freshman year we had three Fr. starting defense and I tell you what he got us ready. He didnt care how big or fast you were if you can hit and punish people you started.

He will get those players attention,

 

As far as the Cox players coming up, ya Im excited to see how much they will help. Great group of kids and man they love football.

Who is Richard Herzog????? What is some past info on him so I can learn something about the man since he is the odds on favorite to get the job?????

 

Good Luck to Spring Hill during all of this. I hope you find a new coach before Christmas Break arrives. That really helped Marshall Co. last year and you see the success they had this year for it!

If this is the Herzog that is the DC at Page......I give my permission for him to move.

 

We couldn't stop a runny nose and looked out of position too much for this guy to be a genius.

 

Can't be the same guy....surely.
