soccerdad
Something else that might be worth considering is if you look at the past seven years of Hickman football, you will notice a metamorphasis has taken place. Six losing seasons and now they are 11-1. VERY impressive!! Don't chalk it all up to their division change because they still faced several of the SAME folks who usually beat them. They have turned things around in a BIG way. As a result, Goodpasture WILL take them VERY seriously. It'll be a GREAT game! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

theplayer
It's a little different. They are Trenton Peabody, like Martin is Martin Westview. I don't know why. If Milan wins the game is at Milan. If Peabody wins the game is in Madison or Hickman. Guess everyone over there will be rootin for Trenton. buster
Ok, Sorry just for fun, if Goodpasture wins and Milan wins, where would the semi-final game be played since GP is a #2 seed, and milan is a #1 seed?

Yeah the only place the game can not be next week will be in Trenton. The game will either be in Madison, Milan or Centerville. But I am saying it will be in Milan in a rematch of last years semifinal.

The drop in classification did help, but as you said they still faced several common opponents who usually beat them. More than anything Coach Swenson has created a change of attitude and mindset among the players, coaches, and the whole football program. They now go into games expecting to win rather than hoping to win. He deserves much credit for the superb job he's done in a relatively short amount of time. Friday night will be a huge challenge for the program. Goodpasture is a tremendous football team. But one positive for HC... no one outside of our county is giving us much chance of winning, therefore the pressure falls clearly on the shoulders of GP. The players can have a great week of preparation, then go out and play loose on Friday night. If they come out and play with the same intensity and focus as last week, it should make for a very close game. Hey let's put the prophetic utterances for NEXT week aside and talk about THIS week. Even though Hickman has improved tremendously this year, they still won't be able to derail the COUGAR EXPRESS that's rumbling to the 'Boro. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

If you look past any team in the playoffs, you will be sitting at home the following week. I don't think either team will dominate this one. Could be a close one.
