Defense, and a lot of it, is going to happen.

Interestingly enough, both teams put up 42 points tonight -- looks like there may be some offense too! If Cody Nelson and DJ Luna play like they did tonight I like BA's chances. Nice to have a little balance on the offensive side of the ball. Should be a great game. I think BA is relatively healthy -- how is MBA?

With respect, Ensworth's and Ryan's Defenses are not at the level of BA's and MBA's.

Anyone attempting to guess the outcome of this one is doing just that, guessing. As witnessed in the first game, these two are very evenly matched. Injurues hurt both in the first game, but both appear healthy for this one. Will Chris Jordan wear MBA down? Will Waddey, Vinsang, and that O line do the same to BA?

My guess is that this will come down to protecting the football and the kicking game.

This is too close to call.

Not trying to predict anything, but if it is what you say and it does come down to turnovers and the kicking game, I think MBA has the edge. Their kicking game is one of the best in the state and they have had hardly any turnovers this year. Not sure about BA's turnovers, but regardless, the MBA kicking game has the advantage. It will be a very close game.

This will be a great game that I will be attending in the boro. I was talking with a friend yesterday and they reitterated for me how huge BA's offensive and defensive lines are. I gurantee a win for BA. I know MBA beat them before. Things have changed. CJ is in the picture now and BA should pull out a win by 7 or 10. Im not saying MBA wont give them a run for there money(best believe they will) but it won't be enough.

BA 27

MBA 17

BA by 7...... Chris Jordan

In my opinion the addition of Chris Jordan will not factor in nearly as much as the addition of a solid passing attack, which was virtually non-existent during the first two thirds of this season. Over the past three weeks, especially, our sophomore QB has looked confident and poised. He picked Ensworth apart, as they were bunched up front to stop Chris Jordan. 245 passing yards vs. 211 rushing yards. Who would have thunk it?

If we can't keep the passing success going, it will be extremely difficult to win - even with Chris Jordan. You can't just line up and drive the ball by running right at the MBA defense (as we found out).

I agree with every point, although I think Jordan will make a difference in what is sure to be a hard nosed smashmouth game. If Nelson can hit the open recievers (and yes, there were plenty of them in the first game), I do think the Eagles will win. At a minimum, MBA will have to pay some attention after watching game films from the past few weeks. They may even have to play a safety deeper than 7 yards! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

At the beginning of the year, I really believed that neither of these teams would be playing in Murfreesboro. What I should have paid more attention to was the massive number of seniors in the lineup for MBA, and the quality of the underclassmen for BA. At this point, I can't remember a year where the top two teams are SO much better than everyone else in the league. Congratulations to both squads for making it to the final game.

    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
    • Dorian Eskridge had a great Junior year, highlighted by a great game to lead HVA to an upset win at OR that year. I think that was 2010. In 2011 OR won at HVA. OR had a real good QB that year l think. Dorian Eskridge had a great senior year also. He always played hard from the DCM videos l saw.
