Casey Kelley was hired on January 15th by the school.

 

Kelley is a home grown product. Played from 87-90 and has coached since 1995 - with the exception of this past season - at the school after a four-year career at Emory and Henry.

Cocke County always have some good players but their numbers are down compared to

most other teams. They are usually pretty strong the first half and the other teams

keep throwing fresh players in the game. There is not much you can do except get in

enough shape to play strong in the 2nd half. Let the coach be the coach and don't bicker

with each other as football takes a team effort . Help each other on every play and don't

stand around watching what the other players are doing.

I have seen COCKE COUNTY a few times over the past 3 or 4 years. They have really big kids and decent speed. Why cant they win ??? It can't all be about the HEAD COACH. How is the administration, the students, and the community ? What will it take to win in NEWPORT ????

 

 

Administrative support. Good programs have a lot of administrative support from the director of schools all the way down. Good luck to the new coach.
