To be honest, the Patriots probably played the worst game they have played all year! South Pittsburg has a lot of potential but they are not there yet. The Patriots have got to tighten things up on defense.

The thing about South pitt is that they have a ton of athletes, and anytime you have athletes you have a chance on any given night. CSAS is probably going to be too much for the pirates since they are one of the top teams in 1A this year. I would say the reason they played as bad as they say was that South Pitt has as many if not more athletes as CSAS.

South Pittsburg is a joke Friday night after the csas game they were up by 24 on sale creek and let them come all the way back and make it a game, only winning barely by 3 points.Sale creek would have one this game from the charity strike missing 20 plus free throws i ve heard.

no way there is no team in single A that is as athletic as Arts and Sciences....in addition south pitt isnt nearly as deep...they will never come within 20 of Arts and Sciences they were lucky to come within 30....CSAS played a horrible game on Deffense....had a few moments on Offense but for the most part it was pretty bad...South pitt however will make it to the region semi-finals....

Football is "athletes". Basketball is team. And right now CSAS has team and athletes. SP is working on team and Coach Phillips will take care of that, prob just not completely this year. Also, if not for the first quarter, the score would have been a lot closer. If the Pirates have a good year up until the next time these two face, I guarantee the score will be closer. Make note of it!

I haven't been able to watch a Pirate round ball game in a long long time. Do the still play full court for the duration?

Most teams in the valley and area used to hate that.

let me preface this by saying this. I am a CSAS alumni and still a fan although I coach at another school. CSAS is not the most athletic team in Single A. I can name a few teams that are more athletic and have more athletes. as a a matter of fact this is not even the most athletic team in school history

I agree Icecold. This is a team that wins with speed, chemistry, intensity (Hard work), and high basketball IQ not athleticism. The only real athlete on the team is Dante. The others can play their role well but can't take over a game consistently. As long as they continue to play to their strengths, they are one of the best teams in the state. If they forget that and try and over power people with athletism, they are an average team.
