The first to go down in district 3 tournament will be Campbell county 0-12 in the district. Lenior City will fall first in district 4.

District 4 will come down to Farragut and Bearden. I believe both Maryville and William Blount can be a surprise pick.

As for District 3, it can be won by any one of six teams. No dominate team in that district. you have to favor Halls due to the fact that they have home field advantage throughout the tournament.

Powell verses West and Karns verses Central on Friday will be tough games, with the loser having their backs against the wall. They have to use their #1 pitchers to have a shot at winning the district tournament.

Congratulations to Halls for the win last night over a tough Karns team 3-0.

Winner of the Powell Karns game at 5.00 will meet Halls for the 7.30 game.

Another successful year for the Red Devils and now six in a row District Champions.

Halls completed another district tournament without a blemish beating arch rival Powell 6-2 last night.

Now both Halls & Powell move on to face big tasks.

Halls host Bearden and Powell visits Farragut. North Knox vs West Knox should be two great games good luck to both schools.

    • also was told coady auston applied, he served as defensive coordinator for greenfield under don pitt several years ago before going to Obion county
    • TSSAA restrictions for hiring non-faculty coaches have been removed for over a year at this point. In the past a non-faculty person had to be "grandfathered" by being an assistant coach for five years, being fingerprinted, and having a background check run per TSSAA rules... since those were rescinded, the board of directors for the school district are responsible for any/all restrictions on hiring non-faculty personnel. I guess what I'm saying to you is that if you really wanted what you posted, it's already possible as long as your local BOE will allow for it.
