I see that the "tennessean" has stated that it looks like the Eaglesville H.S. coach ( sorry didnt remember his name) appears to be the new coach at SHHS?

Dont know to much about Eaglesville HS football saw that he was something like 44-64 coaching record.... does anyone know why Delauhter turned down SHHS

As to the 'why' of Delauhter turning it down, evidently his present school made him a better deal to stay put. It is 'rumored' that Tullahoma was involed also.

Jason Scharsch is his name and he will be coming from Eagleville. Think he was an assistant at Riverdale before starting the football program at Eagleville 6 yrs ago.

SH won't officially announce him til he is actually at the school and on the payroll. Reported to be Feb. 20.

 

The reason they are reluctant to announce is because of what DeLaughter did.

He accepted the position, addressed the community at a basketball game, met with the players in a 45 minute private meeting; then resigned 1 week later. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Probably my reference to Tullahoma. It was 'rumored' that they were interested in him too and wanted him to come there as an assistant. If I am totally wrong then I am sorry, but that 'rumor' was going around here in middle Tn.

Scharsch is in and working hard already. It would be benefitial if the administation would show a little more committment by reinstating last period football!
