1jbpatfan
Sorry, did not see the other thread on this. oops. If Mo-West wants to maintain the program as Coach Woods has going, I would suggest that they take the interm off Coach Lamarr Brown and let him continue with the program as head coach. I said the same thing to a friend yesterday. It would be a huge mistake to let this chance go by.
LSMFT
I read the article about Coach Woods leaving Morristown and thought that Maryville lost 4 games in 2000. I don't think Morristown West is the only team to beat Maryville since the turn of the century! In fact I think the Red Devils is the last team to beat Maryville in a region game. This decade/century did not start until January 1, 2001. Years that end in "0" (such as 2000, 1990, 1980, etc.) are the tenth year of a decade, not the first. LSMFT
Why was there such an uproar about computer crash in the year 2000 since it was only the last year in a decade & a century? Why are earth would Don Woods leave Morristown West? He is drawing retirement from Alabama, he will be drawing from Tennessee, his brother will be fired within 5 years at VMI and Coach Woods will be without a job. Why didn't his brother hire when he coached at other colleges? I can't remember where he was a head man except South Carolina, but I think he was a head coach in 2-3 colleges. LSMFT
No one can turn around VMI, not even David Copperfield! And you can take that to the bank, bobo. Nothing against Sparky or Don Woods, but VMI is as big a caoching graveyard as Vanderbilt, Duke, ETSU or UTC.

Nothing against Sparky or Don Woods, but VMI is as big a caoching graveyard as Vanderbilt, Duke, ETSU or UTC. For sure . . . VMI is a tough place to recruit, but like Vanderbilt and Duke, they have a high quality education. And too . . . the VMI team is very young with lots of talent, and with quality coaches like the Woods brothers coming in . . . should be interesting! I may swing by the ATM. StudentoftheGame
Morristown West lost a great coach, but they`ll be in good hands of they do the smart thing and hire Lamarr Brown who has turned down other opportunities to stay at MW. o21putt
VMI may be a coaching graveyard, but it is a graveyard with plenty of money. A good reason to make the move at this time in his life. Coaches are like everyone else, show me the money.
