Several middle TN wrestlers traveled to Kansas City this weekend. Does anyone know the results of the middle TN kids or any kids from TN?

Blake Oakes and Jared Browning:Oakes wrestled in the HS division at 112 and went 1-2 and Browning who is an 8th grader at Cleveland middle won the Tournament at 105lbs. Browning won in the finals 12-4. Lookout, Cleveland has some young guys coming up who will be able to make an instant impact.

I heard the Kaleb Baker from the Wave Club in Memphis placed 1st at 95 lbs. Way to go Kaleb!!!!! Congratulations to Kaleb and his father, Gene. They have traveled thousands of miles and look for competition anywhere they can find it!

Wasn't it just a couple months ago when everyone was saying that Baker couldn't beat Mosley? They were in the same bracket and Mosley lost to 3 kids (placing 6th) that Baker beat. Great story of a kid never getting down on himself, kept working hard and ended up with the gold at the end of the day.

congrats to kaleb! Great future ahead of him. Props to his father, Brian Baucke and Garrett House among others. I believe he wrestles for the West Tennessee Takedown Club, however.

Yes, Baker and Mosely have wrestled and Cole Mosely won, Mosely got screwed over in the semi-finals yesterday. Not taking away from Baker who did a great job.

Mosely won but Baker moved (bumped) up a weight class to wrestle him.

What I've heard as far as placers: Eli King 1st, Cayce Ortale 6th, Kenneth Garrett 2nd, Cole Moseley 6th, Ricky Fisher 5th.

Yea Baker wrestled up, but so did Mosely, he wrestled up all year and is usually about 8 lbs under the weight class he wrestles, which wasnt the case at the Liberty Nationals, but still Mosely has the head to head victory over Baker.

Remember this, the only time they wrestled was with Baker giving up 10 lbs. Not to take away from Cole, but 10 lbs is a lot when it's more than 10% of your body weight.
