All IMAC Final

Once again it will be an all IMAC final in the region 1 tourny on Wed. night. The Lady Trojans defeat Science Hill and Greeneville defeats DB. The Lady Trojans have been the Cinderella throught the post season and it was no different tonight as it took overtime to decide their game. This team just refuses to let their season end. Once again they were carried by excellent guard play and pure heart. Congratulations Lady Trojans and good luck in the finals and in the sectionals on Sat. Don't let the majic end.

Should be a very special night in Greeneville on Wednesday. I think both teams will be more than prepared. After all, they have played three times already and twice within the past two weeks.

 

Both teams are hot. Someone said that West has won more games within the last two weeks than they had all year. (What a time to go on a win streak.) Greeneville, on the other hand, hasn't lost since they were defeated by Morristown West.

 

This game means alot to both teams, as the winner gets to host the sectional game on Saturday night. A win, most likely would avoid them having to travel to Region 2 favorite and #1 ranked Oak Ridge.

 

Should be a dandy, but I am going to take Greeneville by at least 10.

Here's an if for you...if Shipley and Collins perform as they did against DB, West won't have an answer for them.

You are right it could be ugly but it could be just as ugly if Greeneville has to go to Oak Ridge. My feeling is there are 4 other IMAC teams and all the district 1 teams that would give anything just to be in the position of getting to play in a sectional game. This is what it's all about. West is a prime example of why you don't assume anything and any team that overlooks them better watch out.

There is nobody in Regions 1 thru 5 that can play Oak Ridge without a Central in their name, except Cleveland. Bradley, Wilson, and Shelbyville. With that said, either Greeneville or Morristown West will step on the court Saturday night and give every effort to get the upset.

I think a Grenville/oak ridge matchup is very interesting. We will see just how good that Greenville defense really is.
