What's up with that? Unless G'town improved greatly from last year, I would have expected a blowout with all the hype around the brothers this year.

we didn't pitch one of our 5 pitchers we would of thrown, they arent as bad as everyone says, but we didnt hit at all, we threw 4 pitchers who pitch and they havent thrown yet in a scrimage so kelso let them throw, but we just didnt play to good at all, but then again its only pre-season so all we really care about is the real games, we do still have alot of work to do though, its not like were perfect already

The hometown Pigeon Forge Tigers have looked pretty decent so far in their preseasonm scrimmages. They might not have the raw talent to play with teams like Lexington or USJ but Coach Guinn from Anderson County has brought the discipline they lacked last season. They have a centimental scrimmage comiing up this Saturday with Coach Cannon coming back to town to play. We will see how the season goes but do not count out East Tennessee teams this year.

JPII and DCA scrimmaged tonight in what was kind of like a six outs setting (3 innings: six outs per inning, clear bases after 3)

No official score was kept, but i would say it was probably dca by at least 10... i know jpII had at least one run.

The pitching for the knights struggled a bit and the pitching for DCA looked pretty polished, 3 of those pitchers had numerous strike outs which one guy (i'm assuming is craig stem, but i do not know for sure) had 6 strike outs in only two innings of work...

JPII pitching threw strikes, but gave up some costly hits, but still looks to have a pretty good team this year

good luck to both!

How is Dustin Weaver from DCA looking. I play in the summer with him and I haven't seen him since. I know he was throwing gas then so it possibly could have been him that was serving up all the K's?

No it was Craig Stem serving up all the Ks... Weaver is looking great this year though he has improved a lot since last season.

over that past week Bartlett has played 3 scrimmage games as followed : bartlett 9 Ecs 2 , Bartlett 11 Houston 3 , Bartlett 13 Collierville 7 ...... Bartlett has come out swingin the bat like expected and many pitchers are stepping up and getting the job done . Are there anymore scrimmages around West Tn that you could let me know about ???

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
