lovethegame12
I was wondering if anyone of you could provide some insight on the womens basketball position at Maryville College. It is a well known program but the more I read and research, it looks like the program experienced some trouble and turmoil this season. What is your honest opinion of the institution and the direction of the womens basketball program?

What is your honest opinion of the institution and the direction of the womens basketball program? turmoil is correct. Parents revolted against the coach and teh coach left at mid season. Maryville has a great tradition.

bball35
The coach leaving mid-season had nothing to do with a 'parent revolt.'

LAMBA3
The coach leaving mid-season had nothing to do with a 'parent revolt.' Heard the coach left at mid-season for health reasons - any truth to that?
PHargis
For whatever it means, it would be wise if someone is considering attending this fine College and play basketball to call either the AD or the President of the School to get the true scoop this situation. This poster would doubt that the school has not changed one bit and it has a reputation of very good academics. Someone must have been unhappy with someone else and someone left or was dismissed. A visit to personally see what the situation is would be a priority. Posting on this site willnot get the job done.
