Totally agree, had it not been for "transfers" we would have had a legitimate shot at winning the Class A Boys State tourney this year. However when you face a Class A team from Memphis (how that is possible i have no idea) that gets 6 players to move in from two AAA schools that close down its easy to build a team. Memphis is nothing but recruits as all you have to do is move to a different neighborhood there and you can play the next week. How fair is that? TSSAA gives Memphis an open enrollment? I'm not buying that one on the "level playing field" for high school sports in Tennessee, sorry. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

What AAA schools closed down. I didn't know about that. I know that Westside closed and several players attended Manassas given the choice of two high schools. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

How much truth is there to this rumor? Make sure of your facts and unless she has moved already you should probably not say anything. What real basis do you have for this claim? Have you talked to Monterey's coach or even her parents?

Unless they change their minds back - it is a done deal ........

I agree with your statement here. I mean her father is the head football coach at Monterey, i can't see him moving out of that position. He has built a very good program there and from all that i have heard is a great football coach. It doesn't make sense to move to Clarkrange where there is no football at all unless he was being hired on as an Asst. for York or getting out of coaching all together? Anyone from the Monterey faithful have any news to report on this? Monterey girls had a good year last year and would have been alot better this year but without Molly it would be very tough to play against the two giants of Class A (Jackson Co. and C'Range). So if anyone has FACTS about this please share them with the rest of us. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Exactly I am fairly close to the issue myself and the FACTS don't match your rumors. All you are doing is hurting the Monterey girls team right now with talk like this and what about the Heady family and people talking about them on this site it is wrong. If you don't know for a fact one of the following 1) they have bought a new house 2) or that Mr. Heady has a position at Clarkrange. If you have facts then share them that match one of those if not please stop this.

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
