CCS vs Bledsoe Cty

I would sincerely hope it is not a repeat of the ND and Bledsoe game. Just because you can score that much does not mean you should. How demoralizing for a co ed first year team. Their are alot of ways to keep the score from 19-0....even with the waterboy playing.

I agree and I hope it doesn't get to that and this is actually their second year.

I was told restrictions of how to score would be put on before the game even began. No word on how it is going since I'm at home *doing homework*.....

CCS 15 to 0. The starters hardly played much and part of the first half and the whole second half they played with seven players. You can only pass the ball so much and the kids on the other team started fouling and one kid got a red card for sliding cleats up into the keeper.

Did all starters including the keeper get pulled in the first half?

This is just a real shame again for a score to be run up like this. It maybe could have been 20-0...but I do know teams that find a way for this not to happen. Yes, 2nd team may have been in but alot of teams get in this position...and then put in JV players that never get to play varsity...but their are ways to call off the dogs. Did the bottom players on the team and the last goalie available play....I mean after it got to say 8-0 and play for most of the game?

bluelion- don't understand why you dont see it.

Every team is beating them by 10-20 goals. Do you really think these coaches are running up the score. You don't get it.

I have said this before. What is more embarrasing having a guy dribble untouched to the goal, then turn around and dribble back out or scoring 15 goals? There is only so much you can do. I don't think you understand how bad this team is. You don't think th coach is subbing and play the Jv kids? You think the forwards/strikers are scoring 5 goals?

CCSMAN says they played with seven guys in the second half. If it is true... that would be embarrasing if I was the other team. 11 on 7? I think I would rather give up 20 goals.

    • What you are saying is true about high school athletics being a privilege and not a right, but NO ONE ever knows what will happen if a case goes before a jury.  Again, I have been in a couple of jury rooms and it's always a little crazy.  That is why my prediction is you will see a settlement before the case goes to trial.
    • What rules does everyone not operate by?
    • So you want a have and have not split? Sound like the perfect ramp to elitism. Tell those rural kids that they'll never be able to compete with those urban kids. They're not good enough right? Or we could just do what travel baseball does and have tournaments every weekend and give kids big fake rings for winning a few games. The suburban public schools are typically the ones with more funds. Urban and rural schools have more in common in finances than they do with rural schools. I've taught and coached in all of it. The difference is attitude. But if you're jsut going to say you can't compete because you don't have the money then that's an excuse. Especially in basketball. The balls are the same size, the rims are the same height and size. The ball dribbles the same in some rural gym in mountains as it does in the FedEx forum. Charters come and go like a fart in the wind. They are no real threat to anyone. Magnets could be but rarely do they win either. It just hasn't been seen in Tennessee.
    • That’s a good line. Wins would be Soddy, Howard, and Ooltewah. Maybe East Ham again or Knox Central. Tyner maybe but being that late in the year it’s hard to say. I don’t think we get by Red Bank this year.    Rhea could be anywhere from 2-8 to 6-4.
    • I agree with the Farragut and Bradley claim. Those will both be wins. Bearden like you say is depending on when you get them in comparison to when the wheels fall off.  As far as West goes I’m 50-50. They have been able to reload so far so until they show me they haven’t I can’t count them out.
