That was the worst kept secret in the Boro. GL coach. Should be interesting over the next couple of months the direction the individual board members take since the vote took 3 times to be approved. Cant think this was a hire that made everyone at MTCS warm and fuzzy inside.

i dont think any of the issues with the board had anything to do with his coaching abilities though...so i think after they get to know him more as a person and as a christian i think the others will be fine

Is it not a rule in most school systems that if you teach in a school system, your kids MUST attend school in that system? if so, why did Shadowens get a pass in that he coached at Smyrna and his kids wentto MTCS?

You are clueless. Its a private school. I could drive from tulsa and drop my kids off at a private school.

MTCS is located in Murfreesboro and is in Rutherford County. It is a private school. While most coaches in the area choose to have their children at the same school where they teach to make things easier, others allow their children to attend their zoned school with their neighborhood friends. Now I think if a coach who lives out of the county but teaches within the county wishes their child to attend the school where they work, they must pay out-of-county tuition. The county allows a zone exemption for the child or children to attend the county school of the teacher's choice. There is no rule that a coach must have their children enrolled at their school, in fact it may be better for the child to be elsewhere, especially if the coach is having a rebuilding yr .

In Rutherford County atleast a teacher can bring their kids to their exact school with no penalty.
