So who were the stand outs at the maroon and white game.

T. Furtaw had a nice game with tough running and solid linebacker play. D. Burns spent alot of time in the offense's backfield from his DT position. TJ Harding has been a real surprise at running back and LB. Really ran hard and had intensity at linebacker. B. Loveless threw the ball pretty well, when he had time, and made a nice 16 yd run for a TD.

A Beasley had numerous tackles from his LB spot. C Coleman showed what he can do from the DE spot with alot of tackles. F Curry has a lot of speed and can really go up to the ball from his receiver position. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Is Thad the fullback? Will SH be playing MP in the jamboree again this year?

As long as the mighty Alcoa Tornadoes are on the schedule the best season Springhill can hope for is 9-1.

Besides playing in possibly the toughest AAA Region, Region 5; their non region games are against Alcoa (enough said there); Columbia Central, a 5A school; and Lawrence Co, a 4A school.

A winning record playing in this Region and with the non region games would be a successful season. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Are you serious, one of the toughest regions in 3A, five teams in your region had a sub .500 record, the only good team in your region is David Lipscomb. Region 2 3A had two teams with a sub .500 record and they probably have two of the best three teams in 3A in Fulton and Knox Catholic, the third of the the three being Lipscomb. region two also has the uber athletic Austin East Roadrunners who would embarrass every one in region 5 with the exception of lipscomb. Your argument about Lawrence county and Columbia Central was surely in jest because one team was 3-7 and the other was 4-6. A team that does not have a winning record against this schedule should seriously consider dropping football.

Granted Region 2 3A is tough as well. However Giles County and Marshall County are getting there in Region 5 3A.

Don't think The HILL is going to drop football anytime soon.

surely you are joking, Marshall County beat one team with a winning record and that was in the playoffs. As for Giles County they beat only one team with a winning record and that was Marshall County these do not appear to be the most arduous schedules, in fact they appear to be quite impuissant. Aloca defeated eight opponents with winning records this past season. Austin East who was third in region 2 3A Defeated five opponents with winning records, significantly more than the two teams you previously mentioned.

Nice try but your region is not as skilled as you seem to believe.

And if every dog has it's day when will Springhill's be, a single victory last season does not bring with it a favorable outlook for the future.
