First round games are over now. Goodpasture, USJ, Lipscomb & Bolivar won. Looks like the only surprise might be the Bolivar win? What are your thoughts for the rest of the way?

I believe whoever wins today between Goodpasture and USJ will be the eventual state champion.

Bolivar was impressive last night vs Anderson Co. Their pitcher really threw well. If Bolivar gets to the championship game and he's available, he'll give Goodpasture/USJ all they want.

Agreed, I was talking more about the lower bracket.

 

Not a Bolivar fan, just seen those kids play since they were 13. And it is baseball, come out of the lower without a loss and anything can happen.

Thats why the game today is so huge. The looser is behind the 8 ball, the winner is sitting pretty. I have a hard time seeing usj or goodpasture beating the other twice in a row.

Really just one more pitcher. Jason Overton is the third pitcher and he is not bad himself.

He kept usj in check for about four innings early this year.
