Mahaney did start off slow but it was a controlled run for the first 2 miles...as it was for all of the team...they really only "raced" the last mile..plus Mahaney had no competition... Macon had 1, 2, 3, 7 and 9. But it's hard to tell...it's just a jamboree and it doesn't count.

However, word has it that all the boys have been running all summer. Still MLK will be hard to beat....they're always strong. Just my opinion but I don't think Station Camp will touch Macon this year. I'm sure some of you don't feel the same way so we'll just have to wait and see....let me hear it....

Dude everyone has been running all summer, that hardly gives them an advantage.

All of this talk is ridiculous.

MLK won't place in the top six teams. On the girls side, though, Sybil Levine will be a top five talent.

I have it on good authority that Coniglio ran a ten mile tempo three weeks ago in 58 minutes. It was a relatively flat road course at the Chickamauga Battlefield, but it was blazing hot (97 degrees) and the kid was just rolling. I'm told he didn't really look that fatigued at the end of the run. I think he may be slightly hungry. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

Also, I have from another solid source that one of the top five returners (I won't say who) spent this summer boozing and is a good fifteen pounds heavier than he was this spring. Sure, it's possible he bounces back into shape, but he might also have officially ended his running career with those shenanigans.

Ah Man you caught me... what can I say I like to party!

Ok just kidding but by process of elimination it wasn't Mahaney or Coniglio for sure. I doubt it was Musick since hes been pretty determined about his come back. So that leaves one person unless you were misinformed or my reasoning was wrong

    • The Girls Basketball team I am a part of played for a gold ball this season. One of the biggest differences in the sports is that there is no field prep/maintenance in basketball.   Our baseball is successful and play 30 games in the regular season as well. All of the teams dedicate A LOT of time in preparing for their next opponent.
    • “facts” or better yet ‘opinions’ had been up for weeks/months. that’s not why the thread was deleted. get over yourself.
    • Im pretty excited about the new rules that NFHS voted to adopt. Does anyone know if this will take place in Tennessee starting this year? I think I heard/read somewhere that the TSSAA bi-laws say they have to mirror what the NFHS does, and when the NFHS offered the current weight classes as options, TSSAA didn’t adopt them until NFHS made them official. Did NFHS make these changes official starting next season or will it be similar to the weight classes where TSSAA doesn’t change what they are doing until it is  an officially official part of the NFHS rule book? It’ll be interesting to see if it is rolled out for the new TSSAA Middle School season and I saw a post where the youth wrestling in TN was going to vote on adopting it as well.  I’ll pray for all the youth coaches that will have to shoulder the confusion from all those crazy #### parents who already think they know the rules more than everyone else  . Imagine the first time their kid is taken down and a 3 goes up on the scoreboard or their kid gets pinned with only one point of contact in the cylinder. Their heads might explode. i kid, I kid. Sort of. I’m surprised ride time was brought down with all the other changes. I know some argue that it promotes stalling on top, but its been an official scoring method in college forever, so I figure it must be doing something right. Do any of you think that’ll ever be implemented?
