We'll it is time for my one post this football season. It seems that ever since the coaching change before last season, it's hard to find a JCHS thread lol.

Anyway, the dead period is over. Jefferson County had 7-on-7 with P. Forge, Gatlinburg-Pittman and South Doyle last week. They go to S-D tonight to work out with S-D, P.F. and William Blount.

Camp starts on Sunday and will run M-F for two weeks, before fall practice begins There is a home scrimmage scheduled for August 1 at 6 p.m. against Sullivan South. Other scrimmages are at Knox Central on 8-7 and home against Farragut on 8-14.

There have been about 130 kids showing up for summer lifting - roughly 80 10-12th graders and 50 freshmen.

Tonight's 7-on-7 will feature three head coaches that are JCHS graduates....Anderson, Richie Wilhite (WB) and Erik Hutchins (SD). A little food for thought, how many other JCHS alumni are currently head coaches. Two that quickly jump out are Lamar Brown at West and King George at Maryville.

Is there any more that I am over looking?

Anyone have a report from the 7-7 either from last night or last week?

Who stood out? Who needs to work on what?

Looked a lot better Monday night at South Doyle. McFall completed more passes, Shane Frank caught two touchdowns. Defense continues to be the highlight - secondary much more athletic - Mason will be a playmaker at safety.

Camp starts Sunday
