You're right about Cranston..And stay on top of his books..He should be okay as long as he makes good grades as far as being eligible but believe he failed a grade in elementary school..So even though he's a freshman,should be a sophomore..

You're right ..that extra year helps a lot of players..Could be the difference with some players being offered a schlorarship,even if it's a smaller college..Cranston should still be eligible all four years and should benefit him as well..

Word I have is that the First Look Scrimmage will be this Friday night.Aug.8th,starting at 6:00..Teams are supposedely,Haywood Co,Ripley,Brighton,Gibson Co,Lake Co,Halls,Heath Kentucky and Dyer Co..

We scrimmage UC tonight at GC and next week we play Dyer Co. in first look scrimmage and the following week in the jamboree against Dyersburg. If GC ain't ready to go by the start of the season then we mine as well hang our cleats. Three of the top programs in the area in three scrimmages should make us better by the start of the season. As for tonight's scrimmage against UC, I heard the starters are not going to play much at all due to risk of injury. I was told that they know who the starters are going to be but we're going to look for second and third stringers that are going to want some playing time.

G.C.You say Gibson Co plays next week in the First Look scrimmage..I have a friend that works with me and is an official and his email wants him to officiate one of the games and it says this Friday the 8th..I posted that it was this Friday on another post and if I'm wrong I need to delete the post..

      I havent kept up with Keeton since he went to Oakland, so hearing he is in a BOE role now, that may trump him coming back.  Rennard on the other hand. That dude is a Man Builder! And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few month back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.

      Shoulders from Macon co.  A creasy protege. Has the best coached team in the area as of late. Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co. My dark horse candidate

      The baseball field is the baseball field. There are no clear favorites. It is a central location so that is why it is the site. This gets talked about every year and it is always the same answer.
