That is ridiculous! Head Coach Scott Smith was just quoted in the Tennessean this weekend about he did not like full contact practice at all! He said that he has seen too many star players get hurt in easy practice drills. Smith said he does not even believe in taking down players during practice because he likes to leave them hungry for Friday nights.

Something needs to be done about people who post false accusations on this board.

No no,

lets tell the truth here. this was started by some terd who wanted some attention. or, some sore loser who got toasted laste year by JP and company.

Get over it folks. THIS IS NEXT YEAR. Lets see who is good now and not hold resentment about last year.

does anyone have an idea who ezell might play instead of clarksville academy since they arent gonna have a football team this year. I want ezell to pick up a 3 or 4a team to show they can compete with them.

LETS NOT GIVE EZELL TO MUCH CREDIT. THEY ARE GREAT IN 1A BUT THEY WOULD GET TOASTED BY 4A COMPETITION. IT TAKES MORE THAN 5-6 GOOD PLAYERS TO WIN AT THAT LEVEL PLUS LACK OF DEPTH WOULD BE A BIG PROBLEM. THEY WOULD PROBABLY DO WELL AGAINST MOST 2A AND SOME OF THE WEAKER 3A TEAMS.

I think they did cause of the fight yes i was there and it was quit funny. The whole Ezell Stands cleared them their players and everyone involved with GP out of their own gym. To say we where a little mad would have been an understatement. We watched the video afterwards and it was like WHEN CHRISTIANS ATTACK or somethin.

There are only four teams in the entire state in every class that have open dates and/or only nine games that Ezell can play. They are:

1. Red Boiling Springs in Region 4-1A.

2. Middleton in Region 7-1A.

3. Howard in Region 3-3A. and

4. Covington in Region 7-3A.

The coaching staff at Ezell is going to decide if they want to pick up another game or take the region win from the forfeit and heal up before FRA. They will decide within the next few days.

    • Congratulations to Huntingdon and Station Camp. Lots of good softball in Tennessee. Alcoa been media favorite last two seasons.
    • Im more of a Basketball follower than football and like I said we play what we have, there is no going and recruiting or even talking kids into transferring…..and to rebut about Memphis teams in finals I’ve watched Memphis East and Penny Hardaway with the enrollment of a single A team play up and dominate any and all challengers for years! They aren’t the only ones either Mike Miller and son at Germantown put together that super team a couple years ago that ran through the rest of the state! Other teams from Memphis or Chatt or Nash or any large populated area pop up and are relevant out of nowhere every year because they get an influx of talent be it from a new coach or AAU affiliations it happens in football also just like any other sport! I hope these two schools that close join together and get to play the team you support, then you may see it differently! I find it funny some of you think recruiting and resources don’t matter . The county schools get very little funding also but you don’t want to get me started on that part!
    • In a total classless move, Coach Simmons once again shows his true colors. Waits till the day after school is out to let everyone know he is leaving. Fails up to a community college job after a lackluster 2 year span at GH. And do not tell me about the state run that saved a sub .500 season and plenty of whippings by Cookeville and Lebanon.  Looks like the girls job at GH is cursed. Terrible MS program/coaches feeding what is turning out to be a joke of a HS team.
