cbg
I thought that HC was a good team with those two RB's that every college in the country wants. Father Ryan will be lucky to have a season better than 5 & 5 and they beat HC so what does that tell everyone? Are the D2 schools that strong from top to bottom? And we only gave our tennessee commit the ball twice. I believe we were workin on our weak areas. If it were a real game henry county most likely would have won. Ole Dad
Oh, I see, you're playing "it was only a scrimmage" card. I think the losing team plays that card most all of the time. "If it had been a real game we would have tried harder and won, but since it was ONLY a scrimmage we didnt really try and were working on weak areas". Nice try. RedSwarm
Be serious here - it's just a scrimmage. Why risk injury to the two best players on your team by giving them the ball a lot of times? I understand that FR has a talented team, but i DO believe that if this was a real game then HC would have been getting the ball in Allen's hands a lot more. The risk of injury is just too great, though - 2 guys went down who were expected to play roles this season. One with a broken wrist who I don't know how long he'll be out, and the other reportedly will be out for the year. Scrimmages just don't mean much - it's just a tune up. HC will be in contention this year, and I wish the best to Father Ryan.
Ole Dad
My point exactly. So you feel, in your serious evaluation, that HC was the only team concerned about injuries and that FR was playing all out with every trick in the book to win the game all all costs, including injury. I don't think so either. Therefore, I assume that it was a representative outcome of the teams as they played in a gametype situation. Who knows if FR wins every game, but to come on here and say it was only a scrimmage and if it had been a real game the outcome would have been different is laughable. In fact it might have been different, FR may have shut HC out toally and won by 30. They both have great teams and will do well this year before Lussier leaves to take over at Notre Dame when Charlie is fired. Ole Dad Be serious here - it's just a scrimmage. RedSwarm
Likewise could be said about the shutout outcome with HC on top. It's just a whole different thing when the lights come on and the bands are playing. I see your point now, and completely understand. Good luck to Father Ryan. Do you think Gaddis would give his star running back the ball only twice in a half of football in a real game? Our QB who is being recruited by everyone in the South east plus Michigan carried the ball only three times. I think "winning" the scrimmage was a lot more important to you than it was to him. We certainly tried but since "winning" a scrimmage is totally unimportant no real attempt was made to do so. Does it count on your team's record? It doesn't on ours. I am sure you know how good both teams are from your vantage point in Vero Beach. I have traced your posts on Coacht and you should stick with East Tennessee football which is apparently televised in Vero Beach since you seem to know so much about it. Ole Dad
Sorry Charlie, but I am pretty sure I am up to speed on the two programs I am posting about. Unlike you, I am well versed in many states and about numerous teams and can see past the limits of my "Town". You should try it. Ole Dad You are ridiculous.
