Best fans/Student section

Henry County is second to none! Come to a home game and you will see what I mean. Approx. 6500 for first game of season. I have been to college games that dont have this type of fan base! From the students dressing up or painting thier bodies to sirens, whistles, horns, and standing room only. Every game is like playoff atmosphere. Sold out 30 min. before kickoff fri. night. Not bad for high school. Also, since we are talking about the fans, Henry County also travels with more fans than alot of teams have at home games. RED PRIDE BABY!!!!

well when i played at centennial i always hated playing at Franklin highschool...maybe it was bc it is a rivalry but the fans were always loud and crazy there.They have a lot of spirit over there...something centennial could deffinitely use a little bit more of

Apparently you havent got to meet with him personally. Him and GQ are two of the classiest people ive ever met. And i assure you , if u ever get the chance to meet with Coach Rankin , when u sit down , and see those 7 gold rings on his fingers , you will start to see the class already /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

 

 

Him winning state championships doesn't make him classy. And I think you are missing the point. If he was as classy as you claim, I would think, and Im sure many other people would think, that he should try and make his players just as classy. I mean they do represent him out on the field. If they are acting like fools, I am going to think their coach is a fool for not caring what his players are doing... When did anyone mention GQ? why is he in this arguement?

When Coach Rankin came to Alcoa, the first game he didn't let them perform the pre-game ritual that has been around since I don't know when...It's been a while. (15-20 years?)

After hearing it from numerous fans and alumni, he compromised.

Those kids wear a shirt and tie to school every game day, They will knock you on your butt and help you up.

So really, the has no class card doesn't play. Not to mention Alcoa being the recipient of the last two Herman Ramsey Awards for sportsmanship on the field.

I have heard your opinion and appriciate it, but it is time for you to move along.

Sometimes tradition trumps even the greatest coaches.

Ive only seen one person so far call them fools.............and it was you. And i dont see anything foolish about it. I see it as a fun way for us to get prepared and get motivated before a game , what are we suppose to do? Stand around and smile and be like "ok guys , lets do this"????

Does your team get "Hype" by putting baseballs on the side of their football helmets?

You guys arent understanding what I am saying. I am not saying Alcoa is not good. Or that Farragut is better. I am just saying they look ridiculous during warm ups. They can do plenty of other things to "get hyped" before a game, take Oak Ridge, they have a sweet entrance onto the field, after warm ups and stuff. Its a pretty awesome thing to see. I see that Alcoa has an entrance through a helmet with smoke and everything.. How would that not get someone "hyped" to play? What is the point of getting "hyped' during warm ups? They are wasting energy getting hyped to go back to the locker room. That sounds like alot of fun. Like I said, It is ridiculous.

Why wait til decembet? I am already looking forward to it... and you are forgetting about Soccer, just another thing Farragut is better at I guess. So alcoa has football, and even that is questionable, Farragut has all the other sports.. hmm. maybe all Alcoa has is their "too hype" routine.
