Please do the good people that live in the Memphis-Shelby Metro area a favor(and yes there are some good people here). Don't include us in your magazine again unless you do your homework. I thought last year was bad but this year takes the cake. They have NUMEROUS coaches listed as the head coach of a particular school and those coaches haven't been there in 2 or 3 years! I am talking double digits. It's laughable. Some of the coaches aren't even coaching any more. Some of the coaches have never been at a school they are listed at. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Just call your magazine East and Middle Tennessee football and don't insult us any more and there is no excuse that you can possible give to justify any of this.

lol, gotta love it. I was watching Wazoo Sports Ondemand games and the announcers were from Kentucky! That's great, they were talking about Kentucky football during the high school game.

Is there anything else out there? Can someone from TN do this? I hate out of state people covering TN football. I'd rather support folks from TN.

You are correct about one thing. There are not just a high school magazine. They aren't close to being one. You obviously didn't get the e-mail that I did promoting the fact about what a great job they were going to do on TN HS football...yada yada yada. This was last year. I was willing to overlook some MAJOR errors last year such as previews for teams for schools that weren't even open last year and incorrect positions for others. This year is not even close as I mentioned in my previous post.

I am far from bitter. I just don't understand how someone would attach their name to someting and not make sure everything is right. It's called getting a reputation and right now VSM has a bad reputation with me. It's one thing to make a grammatical or spelling error but the stuff they missed on is reporting 101.

Don't try to sell your magazine to people in other parts of the state just because you include their area high schools without doing your homework.

Knoxville...do you work for them? You need to get thicker skin. Maybe you are posting under knoxville21 and do work for them and don't want anybody to know that you work with a bunch of hacks or you are the hack that wrote this.

    • Worst thing SC could do is get rid of Dyer. I agree with everything said above.
    • Jada Hart, Jasmine Bailey and Kaitlyn Patterson the first two being PG's are all good guards and can handle ball pressure and are good players. Raven Wells will be a good post. There were games this summer where any one of the one's I mentioned were in double figures. Gibson County will control TO's much better this year and they will press more and get back to playing faster. AA is down across the board. I have been all over watching ball. Alcoa jumped to AAA and Jackson County moved down. to A. No telling who wins it this year. I agree Union City, Westview and Gibson County will be a dogfight and must see basketball. Poster insuated that Gibson County has a mental block against Westview. Well give me Maddie Gray and we line up last year and they wouldn't have won a game. Let's see how Westview does this year. Their starting five last year had three transfers in it. Rogers from Obion, Trevathon from Greenfield and Gray from South Fulton. Looks like they swung and missed with the girl from Florida this year so let's see how they do playing with kids from Westview. Gibson County has a really good 7th grade class this year.I have done learned you play with what you got and work them hard and develop them and see what happens. Just keep battling and see what happens. I like our team this year. Very athletic. Every year is the same with injuries and can be catistrophic to any. I watched GC all summer long. South Side and GC was very evenly matched and was a classic war. Hope all stays healthy.
    • I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!
    • My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.
    • Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
