Not going to have any trash talk on this weeks game. Our Camden Lions Team, parents and fans send their condolences to the Morris family and the Golden Tide team. May the Lord give you strength this week...you are all in our prayers.

I believe it was going to be a tough chore beating Camden this week...now probably going to be even tougher just staying focused and getting practice time in..But then again who knows..may play even harder..Good luck to Trenton this week as well as Camden..!

Very classy. This week should remind us that there are still more important things than football. No pick, just hope that the game is a celebration of Matt and the game that he loved.

In a quote from the Camden Chronicle newspaper:

Camden Head Coach Kevin Ward said, "It is a tragedy to their school system, football team, and community." When asked how Ward thought this would affect the Tide on Friday night Ward stated, "I have never had to go through that, but this 2 1/2 hours that they are on the field playing will allow them to escape from their grief."

Our thoughts and prayers will be with all of the Trenton community during what will have to be a very difficult and bittersweet start to the 2008 football season. Hopefully Friday night will allow, like Coach Ward said, a time for everyone to escape their grief for at least a short while and give the players and fans a chance to celebrate the game that this young man obviously loved so much.

This type of tragedy always puts things like the importance of winning and the sorrow of losing into perspective. Hopefully this will be a great game on both sides of the field and the fans will be loud and proud to honor Matt and the perserverence of his teammates and coaches who are taking the field despite their grief. Good Luck to the Tide and safe travels. We are looking forward to seeing all of you Friday Night under the lights!

Trenton Fans had a safe trip...hope you bring a crowd to support your team. They need it now...hope everyone made it as well as expected, out prayers have been with each one of you.

If you arrive early enought there are several places on 641 to eat...Raphel's & Mexican Resturant just North of the turn off to the school...South is the Catfish Place, 4 T's Chinese, and the typically burger places.
