INDY vs. Centennial

Recommended Posts

spanked in a preseaon game or i mean a scrimmage game, i know coach was not upset, I DO know thye were running some new sets tring them out, and team was more interested in MBA whom they scrimmaged the following game...

So your saying that your coachs werent concerned about the Page scrimmage but they were concerned about the MBA scrimmage that makes alot of sense, and the yelling your coachs were doing meant they were happy with the teams performance, and I suppose they made the lineman run sprints just to get them in better shape after a 3 hr scrimmage. Get real, I happen to know many of the teams parents and players I know the coachs werent happy an yes I know it was a PRE season game or call it a scrimmage but a w is a w. if you guys would quit putting doun the other teams none of this would have been mentioned.

yet I remember When you all beat La Vergne in the PRE season or scrimmage it was a win to you all then but for some reason the page win means nothing. denial is a terrible thing. I hope the Indy team puts thier head down a focuses on the games in front of them and lets thier actions on the field speak for them instead of the smack talk on these boards

I think too much is being made of a preseason scrimmage. Scrimmages against smaller schools are a no win for the larger school. If you dominate, everyone says you should have. If you don't play to potential everyone says the sky is falling. It was a scrimmage. Page is a good 3A team and as shown last week they can beat a bottom tier 5A team (with talent..lol). Good luck to them the rest of the season.

Now back to IHS vs Centennial. IHS is the better TEAM. They have to play, but if they play their game they will win. But, as shown in the past, if your talent doesn't perform as a team, a they can lose. GO EAGLES!

What's the story here?

Regardless, I send my best wishes to Coach Mat. I've dealt with him many times and he is 100% class. Get well soon!

This is UNOFFICIAL. I repeat UNOFFICIAL but I heard that Coach Mat has pneumonia and possibly some difficulties with some blood work results.

Regardless, GET WELL SOON!

obviously they dont have any talent if they lose to page.... jason eubanks will have this team well coached and prepared for this game that should not even be a game... they will not be overconfident because anybody can lose on any friday except this game.. the fan section is gonna be so hyped that the indy players will feed off the emotion from the bleacher creatures..this will not even be a game IHS 35 CHS 10

Hear, Hear! the entirety of INDY NATION is going to be at this game. Expect to see a little bit of a game in the first quarter, then an IHS blow out. The team feeds off the crowd (like every team, but this is at home) and the crowd will be there and in full swing. as for chs having "more talent" its getting old, if centennial had talent they would win big games and you would not hear chs students talking about what they are doing this friday since they are not going to the game.

First and most importantly, my thoughts and prayers are with Coach Mat and his family. Just heard about this terrible news. Hopefully he'll be back on the sidelines soon, but obviously his health is priority #1.

Get well soon Coach!

First off I never said CHS had more talent: I said they have the talent to compete.

Really? Not going to the game? That proves how little you know about the CHS fanbase. 2006, easily the worst season in CHS history, we still packed the stands every single game. Even games an hour away, we still brought a sizeable fanbase to these games. Especially now with the hype, trust us, we'll bring a crowd to this game.

    • A lot of people don’t realize how valuable JMO was. QB, safety, punter and holder on pat’s. Kid did it all. I fully believe if he was healthy Dburg would have made it to the ship last year.
    • If Dyersburg quarterback who is also starting safety hadn’t got hurt it would of another blowout
    • For perspective the county school I’m associated and graduated from only has 7,600 people in the entire county with a median age of roughly 47. That’s not very many 14-18 year olds to choose from. I think the football team had 25-28 kids or around there.  On the other hand Shelby County has 916,000+ with a median age of 36. This isn’t just about Shelby county, but all the big ones with huge economic advantages!  An urban/rural split would benefit tons of smaller schools that have to compete with counties with 120x the amount of people. Especially the ones who can pick and choose their players from a pool like that!   I also agree with Pujo about charter and magnets and they will eventually be phased into the private divisions because it is obviously an advantage plus all the funding! Add that county schools can’t go recruit outside of their county like charters and magnets!
    • They should be starting next week and go from there.  They never do Spring Practice in April
