Hopefully Cobb will be moving to QB this week. We have to have him there to win, IMO.

Dicky Lyons Jr is out for the year... /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> ... Hate to see his career end on stink a bad note. Hopefully Cobb will be running more plays this week; we have to have the young recievers step up quickly!

Randy Sanders has been a huge help to the University of Kentucky. Most players he is involved in recruiting cite him as a main reason they come to Kentucky. Still not sure why a large number of UT fans think they guy wasn't worth much of anything.

BC... its an instate game, but WKU is a pretty small school so I don't think that it will be packed. I am sure you will be able to find a decent ticket. Probably not have to pay too much more than face value for it if I had to guess.

Fulmer needed a scapegoat. Randy Sanders was it at the time.Sanders and his family did not deserve to be treated poorly. I bet Phil wishes he had took a better look in his back yard as far as the recruiting. I'm taking Ky over Tn this year.

^^ It doesn't seem to matter what comes out of Tennessee's back yard. They don't tend to use the ones that are quality players and are from Tn. Look at Tyler Maples. I have heard that the team considers him the 4th best WR, but he has yet to see the field. When your own teammates think you are one of the best shouldn't you get a chance?

I agree and it pains me to see Cobb ballin at KY when he would be the best Qb on the team at UT! Also, Patrick Willis is another TN boy that got away and still bothers me to this day!

Watched cobb play QB yesterday... he looked good... Kid seems smart on the field.

He is very smart on the field, especially for a true freshman. He has thrown 2 late game INTs but he also had KY in position to even have a chance. The more experience he gets the better he will get. I look forward to watching him play in the years to come. I agree they need to find another punt returner if they want to have him at QB in the long run.

    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
    • He was pretty darn good for a freshman, but he will have a hard time seeing the field at Oakland for a good while, I’m afraid.
    • Dang I feel bad for the kid. I’m sure he loves his dad and wants to do anything for his dad but I don’t think he realizes his dad isn’t doing the best for his football career if he keeps jumping schools.
    • I’m not taking shots at the kid, but “athlete” is not something I would use to describe him. He was a long, lengthy, defensive back
    • Mistakes like that should never happen.
