you can make that 3 times.

the defense will surprise most, the offense will do there thing and the intiminating indy nation will be 2 hype.

im calling the upset

its going to be a great game no matter who wins. I wish the best luck and the best health to both teams. BUT, the Franklin student section WILL be HYPE tomorrow night. They lost both a principal and a Coach who i hear is "burning" his Franklin stuff. That just adds fuel to Franklin's fire.(not a good choice by Jones)..And the FHS crowd has something that Independence wont be expecting.

Friday is here! Game-day is here! It is Football Time in TENNESSEE!!!

For those of you all who dont realize the magnitude of tonight's game, let me get-you-up-to-speed.

Franklin comes to INDY tonight without a single blemish on their record. Franklin rolls into IHS looking to improve to 5-0 (which would set up a stellar match-up against Brentwood)

Independence defends their home-field with their backs up against the wall. The eagles are hoping to bounce-back from a dissapointing loss to Centennial (which has CHS getting "jumpy" and talking about the playoffs) After last year Independence is searching to establish themselves as a constant threat in a powerful region, but it feels like everyone is doubting the chances of that happening this year.

Both teams have been in this position before, Franklin has dominated the first half of the season, and then went sliding down a slippery slope, but at the same time Franklin has dropped big-time match-ups in the early season, and converted a few criticle games to set themselves up going into the play-offs

IHS has experienced the same up-and-downs, The eagles first spread their wings by unexpectedly knocking of a few gaints out in the early fall months, but then crashed-and-burned against RHS and BHS near the end. Last year Indy came out of the gate stumbling around and looking for the light switch (starting out 1-3) but somehow, The Eagles pulled the season together, and became "the" team to beat.

Both teams have been the common denominator in the upswings and down-swings of their region 6 counterparts, its almost scary to think that somehow these two teams' destiny seem to be intertwined (a perverbial ying-and-yang)

Franklin marches (I like that choice of words Huskergymnast33) through the front gates of Independence blood-lusting for revenge, but the Rebels march into a rabid environment, The fanatics will be out in full force (on both sides) to witness the possible turning-point in their season. The Eagles strap on their helmets, aspiring to protect the nest, and set the standard for the "young eaglettes" awaiting to join the battle over the next few years.

Many questions will be answered tomorrow/ today (depends on when you read this) Will Franklin march through Indy, and set their eyes on Brentwood, or will Heckman be able to re-live last November (and beat the unbeatable)

Will Franklin be able to draw first blood, and deliver the first knock-out blow? Or will Independence celebrate past accomplishments amoungst new ones

Bring your best Franklin, Becasue your best dont/wont/ cant play at INDY

True very true.. But i think when it comes down to it INDY fans have the Rebel fans beat. It just seems like INDY has the best student section, they come out every single game no matter who their playing! The INDY fans will drown the FHS student section Friday night! I hope franklins players have some ear muffs because the only thing they will be hearing is the INDY fans! /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

What do you think Independence fans will be saying to Franklin players when Independence is behind by 20? I guess Independence fans wouldn't know, but normally you can do the most trash talking when your actually winning the game.

Really? Cause they were extremely quiet at the CHS game. Not trying to be cute, they seriously looked like they were dead for most of the game.

Bring your best Franklin, Becasue your best dont/wont/ cant play at INDY... Is that a joke or something.. That might be the dumbest thing i have ever heard.. Eagles fans better just leave your cars running because you will have to go back to them soon after the game starts.. I expect to hear a lot of the same chants that I heard in the Ravenwood game coming from the student section... WE CAN'T HEAR YOU... All rebels fans know what im talking about when I say the bomb WILL drop after this game

first remember last year when you REBELS went to your car crying and the Franklin players caused a flood with thier tears.........

a few things that i have heard from a very good source, Heckman will be ready and believe it or not some of the smack from you on this board @ FHS is in his locker ( does this guarantee a win, nope but it will make his desire that much more) and from another good source ( hint Will Co Sherf Dept ) will be looking and waiting for any sort of antics

Your post is false!!

really, i sort of recall alot of tears in the franklin section and on the field..... regardless, best health to both teams this evening, i am sure it is gonna be a all out war, and just hoping INDY run defense shows up and makes a stand - Nichols is a great QB and if i were the Indy coaches, i would rather have them beat me passing then pounding the ball-

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
