IT'S A CRYING SHAME THAT RIPLEY AND HALLS DON'T PLAY IN THE REGULAR SEASON IN FOOTBALL. THEY PLAY EACH OTHER IN ALL OTHER SPORTS. BOTH PROGRAMS COULD USE THE GATE I'M SURE AND TALENT WISE , OBVIOUSLY THEIR CLOSE. DRAW THE CONTRACTS UP AD'S AND LETS GET IT STARTED. QUIT TALKING AND LET'S PLAY IT BETWEEN THE WHITE LINES!

I think we might be able to work something up for our next homecoming next year? P.S. How long has it been since yall had a winning season in 1a? Wat yall win last year, like 2 games? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Stevie Ray and Ripley Tiger. Halls did beat you guys. You are right they did have 2 td's called back but if I am not mistaken blocking in the back in against the rules right. You have no idea if Ripley could beat Halls in a real game. Halls is 4-2 so far this year. Ripley has not play anyone outside of Bolivar that would scare to many people.

anyone outside of bolivar? go take a look at liberty techs schedule. theyre 4-2. thats definitely somebody.

stevie ray is a dyersburg guy. halls hasnt beat dyersburg in anything. and wont. thats the only defending ill do of dyersburg on here. ever. hold me to it. why are you runnin your mouth about ripley? you live in halls where the population is 15. get a life.

If Ripley stayed within a TOUCHDOWN of Liberty...Then they are PRETTY GOOD...plus they have been BLOWING TEAMS OUT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BLOW OUT...so..Nobody is overlooking Ripley...

Now. On the subject of Trevor Caldwell...I talked with a CLOSE FAMILY friend and he was sent to Union City and AIR LIFTED to Memphis......Supposedly this morning he was sitting up in the bed...laughing and cracking jokes to visitor....He has a CRACK in one of the vertebra in his neck...VERY LUCKY....If he gets up and shows he has NO problem moving then FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD ...He gets to come home maybe tomorrow...THOSE NECK INJURIES ARE NOTHING TO PLAY WITH.....VERY LUCKY he wasn't hurt bad or paralyzed......VERY FORTUNATE...

Ripley had about 200 more yards rushing , more 1st downs , more stops for loss yardage aginst Liberty , but fumbled the ball away on two drives inside their 10 yd line after driving the ball 60 or 70yds . Only a few points keep Ripley from being 5 and 0 . No excusses , just as I veiwed it from the 50 yd. line . Can't wait till friday night . Good luck until we meet again . /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

I just talked to Trevors Dad here at work a few minutes ago..He said they came home about 4:30 yesterday..Cracked the 5th vertebra and will probably wear a brace for about 6 weeks..He said he knows he's through playing football this year and will have to be tested to see if it's stronger to even consider next year..But the important thing is he's okay..Wouldn't be worried about football!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Trevor Caldwell is doing fine. He was at football prac. yesterday afternoon. He did not practice but was there to watch. He does have a fracture in his neck and is wearing a neck brace but is doing alot better. Again, prayers to him and his family for a speedy recovery.

Old Tiger,

That's just it add up all the stats you want to, don't nobody care. It's either a win or a loss do I a put a check in the win column or the lost column plain and simple. Ripley reminds me of Memphis State "we almost won!" "We came close" "they knew we was there" all exlanations of check marks going in the LOSS column

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
