Sevier Co. @ Dobyns-Bennett

Recommended Posts

I bet the field at J Fred will come alive in a couple of hours. The coaches will awake the team from a long weekend of rest. The fans may be holding their silence right now,but GC and the boys will be fired up and ready to get after it.Everyone must think this is not the most important game of the year,it is! Next week will be as well.Remember what a loss to Bearden done for us last year.Only four more days!!Roll Tribe!

I think it will be another scalping at the hands of the Indians 35-3. I also heard that Tyler Thomas quit on the Smoky Bears any truth to that???

It seems the db is always looking in the backfield playing safety, and the receiver runs right by him and makes a catch behind him.We have given up long td passes on the same side in several games. We will have to tighten that up a bunch in the next games IMO. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> Roll Tribe Roll

Your right, the same player has been beaten twice on bombs. I think it's more that he has always been so fast, that he baits the QB into throwing deep, but now the speed of the competition is so much better, that he hasn't been able to make up the ground. But, that same player does have 1 Int (maybe 2) and had another one right in his hands for six, but took his eye off it. Hopefully they got that fixed.

Any word on #2 Sylvester and the other injured Indians? We need everybody for the playoff push.

We'll miss Sylvester in the secondary. Patrick Miller, Sevier Co.'s deep threat, has a quarterback in Zach Flynn who can get him the ball. I'm confident the Indians will win, but we will most likely see a long connection for a touchdown yet again. Give young Steele time, I think he'll get it right with more experience.

This week and next are most likely the last regular season home games a lot of us parents will get to watch our kids play at DB.I for one will cherish as much of it as I can. I have enjoyed watching my son and his friends alike.I've been privileged to have a work schedule that has allowed me to watch most of the practices and games for the last few years. When a friend ask if his son worked hard in practice,I could tell him yes and the parent knew it was so.There is a great deal of things that these players and coaches must go through before the average fan gets a look on friday nights.Even when the players are out of school for a few days, many will be at the gym trying to get stronger so they will make an impact on fridays. It's a year around dedication for many of these kids, and everyone of them should have our greatest thanks for the work that they have done.Roll Tribe

The tribe better not over look the Bears. They have some talent and they are well coached. Being from Sevier County, I am pulling for the Bears in this one.

We may overlook some important things here and there, but the team we are playing this week is not one of them. This Dobyns-Bennett team is on a mission, and the bears are standing in that path.A bear is very dangerous when it is hurt, we will come out loaded and ready .

The tribe is a little banged up on defense, but DB still has Chris Sensabaugh to hand the ball off to, Crawford and athlete at quarterback, and Adams as their go to guy at wideout. Coach Watson will have his defense ready for the bears. The best medicine for a banged up defense is having an offense that can run the ball and eat up the clock. Look for Sensabaugh to have a big game. DB will beat Sevier County.

    • What we have here is an influx of outsiders raining down on the town of Maryville like a swarm of locust trying to change our culture into the same crap they moved away from. I have no issues with anyone coming here but don't bring your politics with you. Most people around here never pay attention to the elections and keep letting the same ole rats and vermin right back in the back door and wonder why things are like they are. The problem at Maryville High is mainly due to letting outsiders get a foothold on control and shove their agenda down everyone's throat. Anyone that leaves there or let's say ranoff are replaced with an outsider with the same mindset. Eventually Maryville High will never be the same as it once was which I'm beginning to believe already but it's only chance of survival are to recruit people that will get in there and reverse the damage that has already happened.
