GPS vs Baylor

Baylor's mid field is too strong for GPS and that will keep constant pressure on the GPS keeper and back line. Baylor is playing tough defense and opportunistic offense. GPS will play hard but I think in the end this is not close at all. Baylor wins 3-0.

I am new at this and probably will not make a prediction but I am nervously looking forward to tomorrow night's game. As a GPS mom I am very proud of the girl's attitudes in not getting down since this is alittle bit of a down year for us. Baylor is well Baylor and I don't think they have really been down in a long time. We are friends with alot to the Baylor girl's and their parents. This makes it alittle more exciting and stressful if that makes sense.

 

I am hoping that our defense can keep it close....you never know. But I just hope for a competitive game and one where none of the girls gets injured.

Welcome Mom. You might not like the outcome of this particular game, but don't forget that you do have a top program none-the-less, probably capable of beating 90%+ of all high school teams in the state. With Baylor being #1 in the state, they can beat almost everybody, and have the skills to make even the best teams look weak.

Thanks to you and DonCChatt for the words of encouragement. You are so right as long as a team does their best and continues to work hard thats all you can ask for. Baylor is a fantastic team. I just hope we can make it interesting and a good game.

Bruisermom you are so right. When parents and players know each other so well....it is always more exciting and stressful at the same time. GPS has a long and successful soccer tradition and I know that the Bruisers will go all out tomorrow night. Thank you for your kind comments about the Baylor team. It has been a great year so far but with post season coming up there can be no let down....everyone is gunning for you.

Baylor 3.....GPS 1

The Baylor squad is stacked at all positions. Would have to say that the only opportunity for GPS to net one would have to be from far out shots by Josie Rix. They (Baylor) are calm and composed on defensive end and with Scales, Woodfine and Gawthrop mixing it up the mid and strike line they are just as solid on the attack. They are patient, which is a quality not often seen in girls of this age. If GPS coach plays Josie too far up, they will definitely capitalize on the mistakes of GPS's back line.

 

My prediction would be for Baylor to win by two, probably on one of their restarts or corners. Advantage to GPS however will go to home fans and field.....Baylor usually doesn't have much of a following at away games.

 

Should be a great game with two great teams filled with class act parents, players and coaches.

Well said....you obviously know alot about both teams. However, I would disagree on just one point....Baylor will have a great following at this game.
