Dearco is from Newport. He dominated basketball and was a really good middle school football player. Instead of going on to CCHS he moved to ATL and is on the verge of a D1 scholarship. He is highly recruited and even if you google his name stats and articles pop up everywhere. Its really sickining to see what our County missed. Hopefully he wont forget his roots

I've started following the middle school players a little closer since I have a nephew who is in 7th grade now.

It's going to be interesting to see which county high school some of this crop of young athletes choose to attend (or which one their parents choose) Especially with football given the state of the CCHS program

idk bout dominating basketball, but he made the decision he thought was best for him and its paying off

cocke county missed out on a great player like a few others that have left the school but he's gonna go to a college now and might not have got a look here

He was probably the best 8th grade basketball player in the county. Im saying he made the right decision, too bad of the cocks though.
