Lipscomb Football

I heard from a source at White House that DLHS ran all over them in a scrimmage Fri night. He said the score with the

1's was 17-7 in three qrts of action. Has anyone else heard anything else about them? I know they are always solid just wondering.

I heard the same thing. I have not heard any details though, as far as who did what. I am interested in knowing also. Good luck DLHS!

The guy told me the DL defense looked big and strong and were all around the ball ready to make a play. As for the offense it was Lipscomb's basic ground attack with an athletic backfield and o line.

Lipscomb's ground game should be good. With losing Flatt to Ole Miss the QB position will be questionable. There is not much experience at the varsity level with who they have now. Coach Mac is very good at taking a team with little talent or speed or size or whatever & making Lipscomb competitive. Lipscomb defense will have to hold other teams score down to be able to win in the early part of the year until their QB can lead. Does anybody know who will be in the mix at QB? Good luck DLHS

According to coach Mac, there are three potential qb's - senior Chris Binkley, junior Clay Lehning and sophomore Burton Elrod. Each has a plus, each has a minus, and he hopes to have settled on one before the first game.

I heard none of those 3 choices are right, he has settled on Reed Stinson (SR) after an injury to Elrod.Supposedly he is doing quite well.

Reed Stinson is a good athlete. Hope he can lead the Mustangs to the playoffs. What happened to Elrod? Will he be able to come back this year? Elrod is going to be a good high school QB. He is very versitile & quick, lacks height but he will do well. How is Santiago doing so far? He will be a huge factor if he stays healthy. Is the O-Line going to be able to open up any holes for Madison & Cutler. Who has the edge at tailback? Good Luck Mustangs!

I am not from ghs or dlhs and actualy hate both teams. I just know that ghs is always talented and will (probably and hopefully) beat the crap out of the mustangs.

I did not get to go to the jamboree Fri. nite in Clarksville. Can anyone give me any details of the game?
