Oak Ridge vs. Farragut predictions?

I keep hearing about the 'lack' of talent both at OR and R'dale. For the life of me I do NOT see it. There IS talent at both places. Just a matter of the way it is used at R'dale and the real ability to teach at OR.

Any way it goes it is NOT the kids fault as they just play the way their respective coaches tell them to like parents have been telling the kids for years to listen and do what the coach says.

Oak Ridge is as bad as ive seen in years. For years the plants in OR kept the wildcats in talent. This isnt Coach Stevens fault just a lack of talent. I personally think Coach is a good, descent person maybe he just cant connect with these kids. I think they will improve for next year but give the coach a chance to rebuild this program if he so wants too. I have been a Fan of football for years followed my kids through some tough years at their school. They learned discipline even though they werent a very good team. They have become good people as adults. So please think before we write any bad comments about the kids or coaches. Big Win for the admirals 45 - 14

I may just go over to Farragut so at least 1 person from Oak Ridge wil be in the stands. Only if it's not raining cold, or windly.

Besides I can always go to Wild Wings before and after the game. And if it's cold or rainy or windly I can just stay at Wild Wings. Wait I could go to Smokey Mtn Brewery and forget the game.

Don't forget the parents of the the OR players. You know they'll be there. Parents were probably the ones who were there Friday night. If it wasn't for the parents the stands would really be empty.

Yeah there's plenty of talent. If they get a good coach, Oak Ridge will be dominant again when this years class of Sophmores are Seniors and the Freshmen are Juniors. There is a TON of talent. Heck OR has played a bunch of Sophmores this year.

Lose the pride OR, THE TALENT ISNT HERE! Its very clear a bunch of players daddy,s are upset. Face it, the kids dont have the talent to play in this region!

Sorry, but I respectfully disagree with you on that statement. Number 4 is as good of a player with the ball as I have seen this year. Number 11 should have been called on to run the ball more often. If you did nothing more than lined #4 in the backfield to take a direct snap, they would have done more than they did. There were more that did good things on a bad night last Friday. Play calling was not good with the talent they had on the field. I am sure OR will return to a powerhouse program in the coming years with a new coach. It really saddened me to see how far this program has fallen. I counted 12 kids in the student section on Senior night. These ball players on OR deserve more than they are getting.

I have been an Owl faithful for over 20 years and I do not even have a dog in the hunt nor did I go there for high school. But I follow and support these kids. They were 2-8 when I first started going to their games.

Just answer one question then. "IF" the talent is NOT there anymore then why did SS come there? For that matter continue to stay there? If he is that good of a Coach he would actually want to move on. The RAW talent IS there, they just need qa REAL Coach!

first of all you never lose the pride if you care enough about your team trust me i know i played for clinton and i always had pride in my team even when we were 1-9 or 2-8. secondly a school as large as O.R jjhas plenty of talent its just hard to get them on the field sometimes, again look at clinton, we've had plenty of talent in the school the last 5 or 6 years it just took awhile to convince them that they should come out for us. and thirdly complain about coaching as much as you want but dont take a cheapshot at the kids and tell them they dont have talent cause we all know thats not the case. wow i cant believe im actually defending the wildcats but seriously they arent a horrible team they just have to have better coaching and be more disciplined. i hope the best for them in every game except for the clinton game each year and i hope they get it turned around. this is probably going to be a rough game for them but as long as the players give it their all they can come away with their heads held high. good luck o.r!

Straw is a clown. He has never seen OR play or been to OR. Don't let him get your goat. He is telling another whopper. Heck, only a member for 30 days so he has a lot to learn.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
