The White House website is updated post-Station Camp game and I will have a Greenbrier preview loaded tomorrow.

This is indeed the CSS game of the week, however there is some confusion about 104.5 the Zone. Out of respect for the CSS crew, there is a rumor that they will move their broadcast at White House to a later week in the postseason.

Thanks for checking out the site at http://www.whitehousefootball.com

P.S. I'm still waiting on pics from Station Camp and they will be added when available.

With that on Halloween night, the temperatures, and the standings, the WH gate just lost money. People will Tivo the game and take the kiddies trick or treating.

Just to set the record straight I'm from Macon County:

I thought your new stadium was awesome

I thought you announcer was pathetic!

I wanted to do physical harm to the "chain gang"...(well...not really...not much harm...maybe a little..lot of 1st & 9.5's for GB)

but man you've got the best catchy original name on coach t..............

EZBeingGreen...(That's good)...good luck against White House....they're real good!!!

Unfortunately we spent all our money on the stadium upgrade so we didn't have enough left over for a full 10 yards of chain. We have it in the budget to add a link each year until we get to 10 yards... /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Butch, the announcer, is a good guy. He's a passionate, life-long Bobcat fan and he does have a tendency to let the refs know if they miss an obvious call. What's just as bad is the announcers that announce the play while it's in progress. Like, "he's coming around the right end". That goes on in our region.

What I like most about our announcer, is that he announces both ways - calls for both teams, the Bobcats and the visitors. It's nice to know who made the play, ran the ball or made the tackle, regardless if they are the home team or not. Some of the places we've been to this year (Station Camp and Sycamore come to mind), I didn't hear anything except about what the home team was doing. And this week at White House, I won't hear a thing because the PA system just plain stinks and you hear nothing on the visitor side (unless they fixed it this year).

Nope, it hasn't been fixed. I don't quite understand why we can't invest a little money and take care of that. It's something that bothers me and I'm on the home side.... Sometimes you can't really hear what's being said from where I sit. I've been to several venues this year that have awesome sound systems.

I think it's a full 10 yards, it just need to be put down at the "front" of the ball....for both teams...

I can tell Butch is passionate, and I agree he keeps you informed, I even don't mind him getting excited when Greenbriar makes a great play but the little comments about the refs isn't good. I would be embarrassed if that went on in Macon County. I know the guy up there who does the announcing and I would tell him to stop it...just my small opinion...it probably doesn't matter to anyone else...but , I feel better now...

good luck in Whitehouse!

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
