You must be talking about Dylan Adams little sister. Can't remember her name but I do remember her playing football. If I remember correctly she played at Fairveiw, now known as Maryville Titans?

 

The first group I coached is now Sr's and I guess the last group I was envolved with are 8th graders. I have several players I am partial to that I coached one of them at Alcoa and several at Heritage some that don't play football anymore but do play baseball.

 

 

Her name is Katlyn.. Fine girl .. Her and her brother are great kids.. Their mom is a good person and was always ready to help.. I wish all of them the best.. (except for poor ole Dylan on friday night...... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> ) Hope he plays well.. Hope the Govs win... Did you here about the peewee superbowl?? The Red Raiders gave the Southerners a football lesson.. The Raiders finally got them a good coach... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> He is a Heritage graduate and a good man.. Loves his kids and gets their best from them..

The coach you are speaking of is Jimmy Parsley, him and I graduated together from Heritage. He is a super guy and loves to be involved with the kids. He does a great job and the kids really like him.

Jimmy is a great guy.. We talked tuesday night and you could feel his excitement about his team.. We coached together in peewees, He left to become the head coach for the grasshoppers.. He moved up when I left and the organization is better for it...... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> I wish there were more like him......

How old are you Scoot? I just turned 50... Feel like I'm 2 days older than dirt...... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blink:" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> As I got older I started to grunt and groan when I got up in the morning... Now I grunt and groan when I'm laying down... Like I said earlier ..."stinks getting old" but I guess as long as we're the right side of the grass we shouldn't complain...

The Red Raiders spanked us twice this year! 28-20 regular season and 26-0 in the Superbowl. All I can do is tip my hat to a job well done.

Well tpoole12 tonight is the night. The battle for the cellar...lol... Will the Govs be ready to play or what?

 

I watched Heritage practice again yesterday and the boys seemed to be ready for this one. I hope both teams show up and play well no matter the out come. Course I will be pulling for my Mountaineers, loud and proud.

I hope I'm not as old as I feel.........

 

Nothing has changed in the injury department the last couple of weeks. One of the QB's has a sore knee but he will play... Cope was lost for the season at Farragut (knee).. He's going to have surgery next Wednesday.. Darren is back... Glad to have him.. He missed 70% of his senior season... I hate it for him... Most of the rest are healthy for the most part, banged up a little but that is typical for this time of year....

      Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.

      From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
