Moms need to sit in the stands and shut up. They know very little about this game and have no physical ability to play it, so this woman needs to quit being like the "brawling woman on the house top" the Bible talks about and learn her place. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

LOL. Sounds like you could use a hug.

IMO if the coaches can't get involved (since it may affect their team) then maybe they need to re-think their career choice. I know they don't want to and shouldn't have to, but........they may need to.

My uncle officiated football and referred basketball for 42 years with the TSSAA. I used to get to go to games with him as a little guy and saw him remove unruly fans on more than one occasion from a gym.

Let me vent a little as well.

I'm getting a little tired of hearing the term "kids" when we talk about high school athletes.

At the age of 17 my Dad was on a LST delivering troops at the invasion of Normandy. He wasn't no kid, and neither are these high school athletes.

They are young men and it's time we treat them as such.

Ummm, your Dad was a kid also at 17, although under circumstances that many (including myself at the time) 17 year old KIDS would have crumbled under. A lot of the KIDS that play are no older than 14 in some cases. They are all 14-19 year old KIDS.

I've seen officials escort individuals out but most of the time it is due to the language being used and most of the time it was when it was directed at them. Officials are different from coaches, you don't see coaches banning parents from games, I guess it has happened but I have never heard of it. I'm not trying to argue with anyone but these are Kids - young boys and girls and people need to remember this. They are going to have bad games and make mistakes, you just hope they don't do it very often.

As far as the 17 in Normandy, that was a different time with different circumstances and there are very few young men of that age today that could probably do that now or want to get put in that situation.

Have a good day!

I won't say that all Moms are clueless to the sport, but I will say that I have more than once been ashamed of my gender when listening to them at sporting events, or when they call in to sportstalk shows. (Usually when I hear that the next caller up is a woman I say, oh boy... and then pray that she doesn't embarass herself too bad.) But let me also say, I've heard plenty of men that don't know good crap from applebutter when it comes to football and they assume that because I'm female I can't possibly know what's going on. Then they proceed to question the coaches every move. Not smart around me! /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

If this lady has been this way for some time, chances are she's not going to change. And as unfair is it may be your entire fanbase will be labeled as idiotic rednecks. Hey could this lady possibly have been the one at the Cosby game who told all the Cosby fans to sit down any time they stood up, and when Cosby pulled ahead started yelling, "Break their legs!"? I'm all about supporting your team, but that doesn't include yelling at kids (on either team) in an unsupportive way! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Good Luck with your problem!

Women like you are few and far between. Most of the moms I've seen at games are hormonal basket cases who need medication. You seem to have it together. Being married to a great coach don't hurt either. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

The really sad thing is that if you remove her from the game, or not allow her to come to the game, she may remove her son from the team. If her son is a great player that sure could do more damage than her making a complete fool of herself.

I have been around many dads this way. It is a no win situation as a coach, fan, player, and administrator.
