I think that Carter and Seymour are the two teams with the best shot at advancing to round two. Seymour is a pretty good team but they have to have learned to stop the run or they won't have a shot at winning. If Carter gets their quarterback back on the field they have a chance, but if not they have to rely on the run (which is strong) because the pass won't be an option. Carter played AE close early in the season, but a lot has happened since then. Thats my view on it.

seymour should run over anderson.co and kingston whoever they play in round 1 because they blew you off the field in pre season.that is what they are saying anyways

Im pretty sure we beat seymour in the preseason /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Attention Region 1-3A fans what can we expect from your region in the playoffs this year? I have heard that Seymour's defense is good and they blitz alot. My question is which teams will advance to round 2? Best of luck to all teams.

Good Topic! I see it this way. Claiborne will be one team from Region 1 that will advance to round two. Oh I am sorry, I must be confused because it was only two or three weeks ago all their fans were talking abouit how they would do in the playoffs. Guess they will have to wait till next year to get their first ever playoff win.

In all seriousness. Seyomour in my opinion is the only team from Region 1 with a shot. Other than that it will be a clean sweep. Gibbs and Grainger have no shot, and both those games will be over by the second quarter. Carter may play somewhat competetive, but will fall by 2 touchdowns or so. Still yet predicting the sweep for region 2.

I think it very well could be a sweep for region 2 but I believe that Seymour has just as good a chance to beat AC as the Mavs do of beating the Eagles. Should be a great game if thats what it comes down to! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

Last year AC was a big physical football team with some pretty good tallent. They did not lose alot from last years team. It really depends on what football team shows up. If Im not mistaken Seymour beat Carter in a close game. It could have went either way from what I've heard from both teams coaches. With the speed being down this year in region 2-3A both Seymour and Carter have the best chance in years to advance.

True, oh classless one! but if they played in region 1 I could assure you they would have made it the last three years. Four years ago, no, but the last three...YES!

    • Tough situation.  Not sure the ROI is there right now.   Might be better options that are cheaper.
    • Yeah summer ball is really fun, but a lot of coaches are trying to play several kids to get much needed reps that they are not accustomed to. I would imagine Gibson County will have lots of players playing to get much needed reps. Want to win games but got to get experience as well and the rotation will be much deeper. I will be at MTSU, UTM Bethel and others. MTSU is the one I really look forward to.
    • So who are the new additions to the staff? Serious answers only please.
    • Its always interested to see the state teams the following summer after losing or not losing seniors and getting freshman and transfers. It's almost time.
    • Maryville has Alcoa on the schedule at the right time of the season which helped last year instead of at the first of the year not knowing much. West will be hard pressed to repeat this year but next will be a different story.
