HERITAGE MOUNTAINEERS FOOTBALL

Heritage isn't the easiest place to win. Tough culture to overcome. There are some good players there and hard workers, but it takes more than a few. It's tough to win in that football region unless you have a fair amount of speed.

There is no easy fix there. I think Rewis did a pretty good job. They just had to play a lot of teams who were bigger and faster. I hope they can get it going a little bit. Lot of good people there.

I have heard that Mike (Flip) Pearson has applied for the job. He is a Heritage grad and has been an assistant at a few different places. Also that Mike White (Maryville assistant) has been contacted. Thats about it.

Your welcome, I'll try to stay on top of it and keep you posted.

I coached at Eagleton with Rob Davis for a couple of years, and Tim Long for a few years. Your not getting old, I don't think I have ever said.

Mike White would be a great choice! He is well respected and has great tie with so many good coaches in this area he could turn that program around. I hope he gets it! GOOD LUCK COACHER!

I don't know a lot about Mikes coaching style but I do know he is a great person and very well liked around the area. I think he might be a good candidate.

He obviously has learned from two of the best GQ and his dad Mike White Sr. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
