o21putt.....stick your nose somewhere else for the time being, huh! S. Stevens hasn't been fired publically and Mr. Lambert is very busy right now. Sheesh....I would think he would be very angry (as am I) for making remarks concerning him on this board. Especially since he has a rather large commitment to a group of boys that are pulling the load for their coach. Sure he is a fine coach....we all know that, but why stop at Oak Ridge.....heck, we all think he could DC the Vols better than Chavis. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> (and I'm not knocking Chavis) Anyways.....until our season is over....shut up! /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" You, inadvertantly, are sabotaging Tony's current body of work! Right now, I'd say that is the last thing he wants! Besides, his current team actually has the potential to compete for a State Championship THIS YEAR. I doubt seriously he wants his present job sabotaged by some quack, who doesn't have any thing to do with the Oak Ridge job. Cause if you did...you wouldn't have put this post (crap)(take your pick) on here!

I believe this defense will be the toughest Midway has seen all year. They look tougher now than when they played Midway earlier. If i'm not mistaken, didn't Poe have a pretty good game against Oneida? If he is out, then Ray will have to put the other 10 guys on his back and i still dont think that will be enough. Midways coach Moser is a class act and I wish him the best, just not this week.

Poe & the other seniors that have been suspended, will not play.

Midway will be tough, no matter who they bring. Very tough kids, great coaches. I was very impressed with several (and I mean several) of their linemen.

Oneida has done an outstanding job of respecting every single opponet this year and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Hats off to the great Indian coaches and the incredible work ethic of the players. You will not find a better group of young men than these boys up here in Oneida. Stay focused boys....Today is a perfect opportunity to get better!

I've been Keeping up with Midway sense they lost the players, it seems to me that they lost alot more than Poe, Iknow he is a threat anytime he touches the ball, but the defense hasn't been the same. They have lost some key players, thats obvious. I respect the coaches desision ,but I also hate it for the kids who are still giving it their all every week.

Whooooooo. yourself! Actually, it probably would have resembled Barney Fife haulin' in Otis! /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />

Listen my friend with the arsonal of cheap blows to the family jewels. I'd like to put the figure four on Putt, while you come flying from the top rope with the atomic knee to the head. I'm not going to be a happy camper this week because some classless jerk has to open up his, probably toothless, mouth and cause trouble with some off the cuff remark about something that does not pertain to the here and now. Heck, I'm so hot....I wouldn't even need your help Flair......I'd just give him the Kazanity Express! (broomstick, athletic tape, blindfold, brass knuckles, and a police nightstick!).....(just use your imagination /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> ).....(oh yeah, and a TABLE!) /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

I hear they are going to go without Poe and a few others. You have to doff your hat to Moser!

Hey Kaz,

I say hats off to Moser as well! You know, Midways Middle School was the runner up this year in the championship game for the single A grouping. I hope them lil ones are watching whats going on. Life is all about good choices. I dont know exactly what went on.....I just hope everyone gets back on track. Either way, whoever shows up will have a game. TL will have the Indians fired up.

Dang, remind me to never get a ticket on the Kazanity Express!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
