Centennial vs Brentwood

Be careful Bruins. High school football can be unpredictable. (See loss v Ravenwood which I'm sure you view as a fluke). CHS is streaky so if they get on a roll, anything CAN happen. I believe Brentwood will win due to the solidness of the team overall. As for the cockiness, to me it comes across as alittle arrogant or elitist and can be unattractive. It's not like BHS hasn't earned the right to be cocky/arrogant etc but just because you can, doesn't mean you should. That's when things get ugly. As for the CHS fans re Brentwood: It ain't bragging if you say it and you back it up. Good luck and health to both teams. Will WCTV be broadcasting the game this week?

Pops, wasn't it just last week that you were starting threads for brentwood because the fans weren't "interested" enough to start one themselves. Now this week brentwood is cocky, arrogant, and elitist. Wow, what a change in one short week! Why don't we call a spade a spade and admit that all the folks who are offended by the confidence that brentwood plays with are simply intimidated.

As evidenced by Brentwood's whopping 17 passing yards in Week 0

And ambiguous, Im guessing you spent a good amount of time on photobucket yesterday? /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

will be a very great game no doubts and hope its a close one- HOWEVER i still think the Bruins end up on top scaping with a 10 pt win - but, in back of my mind its tough to beat a region foe two times in one year(ask FHS last year when they met INDY in the playoffs) , and is CHS the 2008 version of INDY?

no matter whom wins it will set up another rematch of some sort as Franklin awaits and i know the boys at CHS would like nothing better to see a CHS- FHS rematch - so you CHS fans start cheering for those hated Rebs to get your rematch and lastly , amsrock if you are reading this i hope i get some more game play by play from you-

Let's make a deal....which ever team wins, the other teams fans will stay off Coach T for the rest of the season. How 'bout it Centennial posters, are you game?

whew good bet hear, but i vote for ams rock to stay on as he/she does have some very good points and I tell you what he beats any high school prep reporter when he calls the game in on this board=========

hey Bruin what size do you all have up front on d like and O- line, i look at your team and dont know how you do it week and out ( I know D wins ) - do you have enough to get in a shootout with CHS or perhaps FHS next week -

Nope, the deal is ALL the fans go. As far as what the Bruins have, you'll have to show up on Murray Lane Friday night to see for yourself.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
