CPA4Ever
Good game and season for both teams (GP's is not over) and a really good game. Both teams played well, but Cunningham is the difference. His speed is phenomenal. CPA took the opening KO and scored on a 7 1/2 minute drive. The first of two game changing plays was when CPA kicked off to Bengi (don't ask me why we kicked to him) and 10 seconds and 90 yards later the game is tied 7-7. GP goes up 14-7 on another long Bengi run, and CPA responds by driving to GP's 7. The 2nd game changing play was CPA throwing an INT after having 1st and 7. So rather than 14-14 with 2 minutes to go in the half, GP gets the ball back, Bengi gets loose and CPA is down 21-7 at half. CPA kicks off 2nd half, holds GP for most of the quarter, scores twice and makes it 21-21. Problem is both QB Luke Roman and Z Mason get injured in the 3rd - CPA's two best rushers. Roman stays in but can only pass and not run, and Mason never returns to the game. Mason being out hurts on both offense and defense. GP scores at the beginning of the 4th to go up 28-21. CPA has a TD pass called back for holding. GP holds and scores again with about 4 minutes to go. A really good game between two teams who are very evenly matched. Cunningham was the difference with 4 TD's and over 200 yards rushing. Both teams made mistakes, and had some great plays. One really fun matchup was between corner #20 for GP and CPA's WR, Kemp. Both made big plays and dueled all night. Good luck to GP at Milan. CPA is pulling for you to return to Murfreesboro.
Stat_pack1
Goodpasture is peaking at the right time. All the comments about a 14 yr. QB doesn't matter. With the back they have, #24 don't require much else With him running the ball most any QB would be successful, this isn't putting down the QB, but 24 does give a QB a good chance to win. Cunningham (not sure if spelled right) is something very special, have no problem seeing him playing on saturday @ D1 college. Congrads. to CPA on a good season. From what I see now.....I can see GP in the boro again, of course they will have to play a completely different beast from all the rest.."ALOCA". Bighurt
Goodpasture was the better team Friday night. Cunningham is a special player but he is not all they have. I thought GP had a great game plan and executed well. My hat is off to them for winning 3 straight on the road. Good luck against Milan. CPA4Ever
Thank, FB, it has been an honor. Yes, Big is riding off into the sunset with me. So, you guys have to sit down in the cold bleachers with us normal folk from now on, huh? No more lounge chairs, heated press boxes, press buffets, and hobnobbin' with celebrities. Seriously, thanks for all you both have done for CPA through the years.
