Wow, what a great game. It seemed that in the first half all the balls bounced Farragut's way. When we were able to hold them to only 7 points, I knew we had a good chance. I hope we get the same ref's for next weeks game. They did a great job of keeping the flags in their pocket and let the teams settle it. And as for the no one on the field after the game, that is a TSSAA rule. That is why we had to install the fence around the field last year. Good luck Farragut next year. It looks like you are going to be in one tough region. Maybe we will see you in the playoffs.

Hey HornedOwl... could you do us a favor and have someone hide that guys microphone. He really loves hearing himself on it and he just talks to be talking. The band lined up right the first time and then he got on there and had the horn section move in and then had them move back out to where they were. These are intelligent kids who don't need him to tell them every single thing, as well as the fans really don't want to hear his every word. Glad to have you all back, I hope we can turn up the volume on the noise(with all due respect to the band) this Friday. It is hard to be loud when you are freezing your buns off.

If you have ever been around any band directors you will know they are all the same. We are glad to be back and yes, it is hard to make a lot of noise when you are freezing. A friend of mine was at the SD game and said the stadium was rocking. I hope we can do that Friday. I thought we were a little quiet especially on third downs. The D did not need any help, but the crowd should make it hard on the opposing O to hear. Hope the weather forecast of rain on Friday is wrong.

Unfortunate end to a good season for Farragut. Real shame on how the offense played Friday, but you could see it coming all season. Ooltewah's strength was Farragut's weakness. It's a testiment to Farragut's o-line coach that they were able to accomplish what they did this year with an o-line as physically weak as Farragut's. I would put Farragut's skill players up against an team in the state, but without a line in front it really doesn't matter. I don't know what they have coming up, but this is an area that needs serious attention from the coaching staff.

Congrats to Ooltewah, I can't imagine you guys losing the rest of the way. Your defense will probably keep you in any game, even if your offense has an off night.

congrads owls, you dominated those ads !

Were you at this game. Farragut pretty had control of this game the first two qts. If Farragut could have completed the long throw to the wide open receiver #20 and scored Farragut would of had total control of this game. Ooltewah never dominated this game.

First that is his job to get the O-line ready to play and I thought they did a pretty good job this year. Second you can not run the football right at Ooltewah defense. The two yard outs is ok but you have to be able to see what a defense is giving you as a coach and make adjustments to it. Ooltewah gave us the middle of the field. The hitch and go would have work from throwing all the two yard outs and the tightend over the middle. If Farragut wants to go get past the third round you have to make changes in your offense throughout the game and right now I don't think Farragut offense coaching staff knows how to do that. Samething happened with Bearden last year.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
