13-0 appears to be doing well at this point. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

LOL, I know how good they are. I just hope Marshall Co. and McMinn Central meet in the first round of state. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

Central is doing good as far as their record is concerned. A couple of concerns is that they are playing to the level of their compatition, and not to the level of their own potential. Also, they are playing weak teams right now, and that might hurt them when they start to face some real compatition later in the tournament. As far as the rest of this years schedule is concerned, the only team that can beat Central is Central. On the positive side. They just got back an impact player that was out with a broken collar bone. She'll be back into the starting lineup shortly. They also have a post player (sophomore) coming off the bench that is improving with every game, scoring 15-20 a game. If she keeps up, she'll be one of the best post in the state. Also, anyone that is familiar with how Coach Morgan works will tell you that the starting 5 and bench rotation will not be worked out til after this month. And it'll be mid Feb before the team gels. Also, with the win against Meigs Saturday, the Senior class got their 100th win. Their record is 100-19. Overall, there are some concerns, but there are high hopes for this group of girls that finished in the quarter finals last year and didn't lose a player. If they don't get into another game where the opponents get to shoot 33 free throws to Central's 3, they might finally bring home some gold.

just to clear it up. Central barely lost last year in the semi's to the eventual champ who won decisively in the finals. Central was out shot at the freethrow line 26-1 in the semi game.

Both of these teams have to get there first. Marshall County is taking one game at a time. We really do not talk about M'boro yet because it's very important for us to focus first and foremost on our District competitors. We do not take anyone lightly. We try to play every game like it is the Championship. When that time comes and both teams can get there, it would be nice to meet up in the final game. We played them last year in the semi finals and as far as I am concern, that game was the Championship game. McMinn Central and Marshall County were in the toughest bracket and unfortunatley they had to meet in the semi final. So for whoever that is worried about why there is no noise about the Chargerettes, don't sweat it, just let your girls play speak for itself not by what other people or the media thinks!!! The folks that are making noise about Marshall County are not even from Marshall County. Good luck to your team through the rest of your season!!

Don't know if I would call a game that was tied 37 all @ the end of 3 and a 7 point win decisive

MC seems to be able to perform at a high level without needing constant press and attention in the paper and sources such as this board, and the players seem unselfish. Lambert could probably be putting in 30 a night especially against the lesser teams but there's no need for it usually. The coach can be brash and brutally honest when it's needed-such as last year when he said in the paper his team was afraid of Cleveland-but the players appear to respond well to it.
