Upperman v. Livingston

The bees are talented and will hang around for a while but when they start subbing the wildcats will pull away. the pressure defence will make upperman sub and LA just too strong top to bottom for anyone in district. Upperman has very good team and I believe only losses in district will be to LA. The size of LA inside will be a factor because the Bees are strong inside and they may have to change up their game plan some to shoot more from outside.I look for a battle in the paint with scoring from the preimter being the differance. Good luck to both teams

I have two predictions

1) Close game (maybe 3-5 points)

2) Mr Dunn gets his record.........Friday in Macon Co.

Respectfully yours,

Thanks! I have been reading along...just not much to say or at least felt like saying. Good to feel like flapping my fingers again!!! I hope we win and Dunn gets the record. I would love to be there but I am going to be like that old 80's song "I watched it all on my radio"!

good to see you posting and good luck to the wildcats. Is that radio in color or black and white, heck knowing you it's hd with the works see you bigdaddy1

I was worried that our weak schedule, especially of late, would bite us somewhere down the line. Just didn't think it would happen tonight! Upperman must be a bit better than all of us thought. If they continue to play like they did tonight, there could be 2 gold balls being added to their trophy case. Hopefully this will be a wake-up call to the Cats and all of us fans who thought they were unstoppable!

I can't say that Upperman was the reason LA lost tonight. LA beat themselves. They could not make a field goal, and it wasn't because Uppermans defence was that good. LA's field goal percentage and their turnovers lost them the game. They will play again though, Feb. 13 Upperman comes to LA. I hope to see a differenct game than what I saw tonight.

So can we say Upperman is the better team now? Looks like LA will have to work to get themselves back on top. I look for this one to go the other way next time.

I didn't like the part where the Upperman kid tried to 'take out' Dunn(if thats what he was trying to do). I especially didn't like Upperman's coach nodding in approval after his player did it(which made it look like that was his goal). Maybe the game has changed over the years, but most coaches wouldn't approve of that.

Weak games might of had something to do with it.... You still have to come out ready to play. Night in. Night out.

Because if I looked at the schedule correctly, LA has 6 more of those so called 'weak' teams to play before they play Upperman again.

    • Eagleville hosting shows laziness on the part of the TSSAA and a complete disregard for the appearance of impartiality. Absolutely nothing against EHS. Its not their fault TSSAA is lazy.    I understand EHS staff work the games at Eagleville, and they don’t want to miss the EHS games. However this isn’t rocket science. It would take less than 1 hour to cross-train EHS and RHS volunteers at the opposite sites. If Eagleville (or any host)  makes the tournament, flip their game site and have the volunteers flip sites for the days their school plays at the opposite site. Magically the school’s fans would be present to watch the their kids play and the kids at least lose some familiarity and home field advantage.  It takes almost no effort and is a ~15 minute extra drive.
    • We feel the pain!
    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
