I think a suprising star at Oakland and upcoming is Tyler Mcdonald. Very improved from day 1 when he came here from Siegel he was very out of shape and had a hard time adjusting to the Oakland style that is played.

Tyler is hitting above 500% and hit his first homer this weekend. Hope he continues to keep up to his name cause sure as heck he is hitting the ball and getting those runs on the board which is what Oakland needs.

Jeremy smith from greenback is by far the best catcher in 1A. He has soft hands and can hit. He batted 460 his freshman year and over 500 his sophmore year. i will be looking for him to have a big year

I agree, not only is he a great catcher, but his batting average is good AND he is a switch hitter. Ive seen him play catcher, short, third and pitch. He is a great all around player

Independence #26

Solid defensively, good hands, quick feet, blocks well

Opposing coaches don't waste many base runners on him.

Solid snap throws to first and third (likes left handed batters with a runner on !)

Good power to both sides of the field

Handles his pitchers well and calls his own game.

no doubt about it, cross is at least the best in the mid state and probably more than that. 1.7 pop time and was leading the team in RBI's.

No where near best in mid-state kid got cut from hit after hit summer team in favor of Luke Fennel, Connor Moore, and Scott Lynn so there is three that are better according to one of the best summer teams in the state.

u obviously dont know what you're talking about, cross never tried out for hit after hit, he played for tn thunder. and if you think those guys are better than cross, you are crazy. lebanon's backup catcher who now is playing outfield tried out for hit after hit.
