The Twilley ejection in the District 8AAA tournament and Andrews voted CO MVP. Maybe its karma and if those things don't happen, Siegel wins, but we'll never know. Whatever it was, congratulations to Shelbyville. Good luck the rest of the way.

Twilley not being ejected most likely they beat Columbia and not playing Siegel anyway. Good luck EAGLES.

Tonight we saw two top players in the state go head to head. Both knocked down the threes but the pressure shots were hit by Andrews to win the game......an awesome shot at top of the key to tie the game at 44. Emmanuel that was a BIGTIME shot!

Is there anyone that can guard TWILLEY????

Seen him play basketball since the 6th grade and I've not seen anyone yet guard him.

Are you happy b/c you were never a player and just a manager and a guy that couldnt hack it as a coach!!! Lets go Shelbyville send Oakland to Walker valley

Happy because I have more rings than Siegel and Oakland is still playing, and so is Shelbyville, both teams I caoched for. And please get your facts straight, I quit coaching because I didn't enjoy it anymore. But thanks for caring and being concerned. Is this the return of "WarriorMom?!?" Magically your post got removed....that's wasn't very smart....neither is having a state championship ring designed in the fall

Wow what a game tonight. Congrats to Shelbyville and Oakland on advancing to the region finals. Tonights first game was well worth the price of admission. It was an agressive game on both ends with great defense played by both sides. I am sure the turnovers and terrible shooting percentage was due to great defense on both sides. What can you say about Andrews and Hammonds besides unbelievable... They are both two great players who will do very well at the next level, especially since they each have another season to fine tune their games even more. The game on Thursday should be a great game as well between two great teams and two great coaches who have a ton of respect for eachother. I will stick with my prediction that both teams will advance to the final eight in the glass house. Congrats to all four teams tonight and especially Shelbyville and Oakland.

    • Best-of-three sectional series vs East Robertson at home starting Wednesday.  They put us out last year at this point.  Go Pirates!!
    • I don't believe they have anyone that is surbers caliber but a decent staff overall.
    • Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?
    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
