If Len Dugger is as good as I think he is; if the Lady Cyclones have molded into the Team I think they have - - and they proved themselves very capable in the District Tornament - - if the reinvigorated Chelsea Bowling can continue to contribute as in recent games... then, I really like Elizabethton's chances. But that's just me.

South Greene has one HUGE advantage the can go full force from beginning to end and I don't see the Lady Cyclones doing that. Mariah will have to play for the entire game full force and I have yet to see her play a full game yet. I don't see her getting up and down the floor at the speed South Greene plays. Lady Cyclones will have to slow the game down for them to pull off a win. Good Luck to both teams and God Bless.

"It's go time cupcake"! I think we have covered every angle and speculated as much as we can. I hope it is a good, clean, well called game. May the best team tonight win. Let us hope that both teams stay injury free and that the fans show class on both sides......dipping is ok in my book.....even for the ladies. It is part of our heritage. Whatever the outcome tonight, I hope both teams win Saturday and that we can have two District 1 teams in the Boro. I am not sure they can handle that many hillbillies in middle Tennessee at one time! Go Cyclones!!!!!!

One thing is certain, SG will have a 'run'. They key for EHS is limiting that run to 6 or 8 points; rather than double digits. If EHS can weather the inevitable SG run, they will win the game.

I look for the officials to let them play. Lets face it, a foul could be called on every single possession, on both sides.

As long as it stays "clean", let em play ball. The block/charge calls will be huge though.

This is one year where the loser of this game has a very decent shot at winning on the road since it doesnt go through Austin East (first time in many years). While Gibbs and Seymour have very good teams, winning at either one is do-able by either SG or EHS.

Should be a great game tonight. EHS has brought home the last two regional championships from Chuckey Doak Middle School so I like our chances for a three-peat tonight.

Go Orange and Black!!!

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
