From Dekalb County two of the best in the state are Payne Denman and Austin Garrett.

I would have to agree that Denman from Dekalb is probably at the top. From what I saw him post last year at the state tourney and what the paper said about him, it's hard for him not to be #1.

Patterson shot course record 62 at the high school golf tournament at Willow Brook in Manchester. 6 birdies, 2 eagles and 10 pars.

Bga looks pretty strong this year, they have a good brother duo, the shellnut brothers. but mba is looking very strong

No doubt the best mid-state player and one of the states best players is hendersonvilles senior Trey Tarply. He is a all american and got nhgca all american palyer of the year and has a 70 averge on the year so theres no doubt his the best in mid-state

The game of golf requires such a high degree of focus, practice and commitment. I always wonder how good could some of the best two-sport golfers would be if they were completely dedicated to golf. Who are the best two-sport golfers?

 

First to mind is the Shellnut brothers at BGA. The older brother I am guessing is probably the captain of both the golf team and the basketball team while I believe his younger brother will follow in his footsteps. I believe the Paslick kid at MBA is also a captain in both sports. Who else?

I Say Foley At McGavock, Should win district. Fant is a upcoming freshman who seems solid just lacks experience and focus but hes young says Coach of Raiders . Leighton should finish second for the raiders with a solid drive. Havent Heard much of Schaible this year. I say Raiders Place third in district.

Davis Fleming from Nashville Christian is a very talented golfer. He should win the district this in a very tough district. He is getting some College offers but not sure where.
