Where has Region 4 been in the last 5 years at the State.

State Finals AAA:

2004 - Farragut (R2) def. Bartlett (R7)

2005 - Houston (R8) def. Overton (R6)

2006 - Farragut def. Bartlett

2007 - Bartlett def. South Doyle (R2)

2008 - Farragut def. Bartlett

Region 4 may dominate Region 3, but it looks like Region 2 dominates AAA.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious!!! Everybody knows Farragut is the top program in the state right now. How many championships has Region 3 played for in the last 20 years??? I can name at least three teams right now from region 4 that have either won a state championship or played in the championship game (Oakland, Warren Co, and Tullahoma) I know Bradley won it in 94, but that is it......face it, your region is not very strong

The majority of these same owls were starters for ooltewah last year and didn't even win first or second in their district.

They were also alot of inexperienced sophomores and juniors. there also was not much coaching. i guaranttee you, they will show up to work and play hard everyday. Prediction: Owls are '09 District 6AAA champs

Is that where Doug Greene is? (Former Coffee Co. and Blackman coach)

if so, then you will be better and contend for the district....Doug is an excellent coach

Ward Gossett from the Chattanooga Times Free Press wrote a wonderful article on 2 of the Red Bank Lions senior pitchers.

Pair of Aces heads Red Bank's deep Pitching staff

Well done Ward!

Well done Ward??? what about Adkins & Walden? Quit being nice to Word. He will start thinking he's a sportswriter or something. Just kiddin. WG does a great job covering high school baseball in the area.

I agreed with you, moron, and simply made another point.

I read what you wrote....You are trying to ignore the fact that region 3 stinks by trying to put down region 4 for not making a state championship game in 5 years.

If not for the TSSAA making it easier to reach the state tournament (8 teams) region 3 would probably never get there.

Bottom line is the facts will back up my arguement that Region 4 dominates Region 3....like I said in my original post....said nothing of Region 4 dominating state....just Region 3

What if Walden was going to be at Ooltewah where he is supposed to be? They would definitely make a run at state. I think they still can as long as they can score enough runs. As an "old Owl" I've got the Red Bank/Ooltewah games marked on my calendar.

Good to see you on here Catsbackr!

Both Hunter and Alan are not only great pitchers , they are also great young men. I wish them both the best not only this season but also in their future baseball careers and beyond. My son has played with both these guys and against them since they were 6 years old. You could also say what would Ooltewah would be with the 8 others that left OHS in addition to Alan. Just think 9 players left Ooltewah and they are at 6 different schools and all of them are doing well. And including Alan, 2 others that left Ooltewah have signed early to play college baseball next year. Both of them are pitchers also. Most all left because of the bad coaching at OHS. And you could also say that the year that Burke and Mcdade were juniors and seniors that if they had a decent coach they could have won state. Anyway , good luck Alan and Hunter.
